Sinsa Station Laminate. Solving Front Tooth Concerns Before the Wedding with Thin Ceramic Levnate!

I often see people who are worried about the color or shape of their front teeth before a wedding or a photo shoot.

After all, if you need to smile for the shoot and your teeth don’t look nice... it’s only natural to worry.

People with straight, well-shaped teeth often get teeth whitening,

but if you want to improve alignment, shape, and color all at once, thin ceramic laminate may be the best choice.

Today, I’m sharing a case from our Sinsa Station Lev Dental Clinic—our laminate treatment, Levnate—showing how much tooth preparation is needed and how natural and beautiful the color can look when the treatment is done^^

I want my front teeth to look straight and pretty before the wedding photos.

Please recommend laminate that suits my face shape.

This patient visited us because they wanted beautiful front teeth ahead of an important event.

Looking at the dental panoramic X-ray...

They had already received orthodontic treatment in the past.

So the teeth were aligned, but they came in wanting to improve the shape and color of their teeth!

The front teeth feel a little short.

Short front teeth can easily give a more childlike impression than an adult one.

And overall, they seem to have a slightly square shape.

But they were not square enough to feel edgy.

Oh, right! We decided to treat the missing spaces with implants.

The left image shows the upper front teeth, and the right image shows the lower front teeth.

They are definitely straight teeth.

At times like this, we dentists need to carefully listen to and record the points the patient wants improved.

First, the two center teeth—the incisors—are shaped differently.

If you look at the part marked with the yellow dotted line, you can immediately feel the difference.

We needed to correct the asymmetry coming from that point,

If you look at the blue arrow, the small tooth next to the central incisor appears to be a different size.

Again, a point that creates an asymmetrical feeling...

If you look at the red arrow, the gum lengths are different, right?

These small details together made the asymmetry stand out even more.

The patient was smiling with a little tension in the lower lip.

They also wanted the tooth color to be brighter.

However, they wanted a natural shade.

By now, if you’ve seen enough of my posts, you probably know what kind of Lev Dental laminate is needed~

To achieve naturally bright teeth and preserve the shape,

I recommend the Expert upgrade over Levnate Basic.

Of course, Levnate Basic is also bright and beautiful, but as a monotone laminate, it can have a somewhat artificial look.

That said, many people prefer that look too!!!

Still, to create a naturally bright Levnate, the Levnate Basic lineup needs a little more hands-on work.

We create a natural color with additional coloring, and then add ceramic powder to build a natural texture. That way, Levnate Basic -> Levnate Expert becomes an upgraded lineup!

These are tooth shapes that suit your facial shape.

What’s really fascinating is that teeth matched to the face shape feel much more natural.

Before administering local anesthesia, we record the shade in advance.

We need to know the original color, and we also need to discuss the desired color.

The time to have a deep discussion with the artisan who will make this laminate—the one you’ll use for 10 years once it’s made—about how it should be crafted.

After gum contouring to create a natural Levnate,

we prepare the teeth. About 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm.

To match the symmetry of the gum shape, we perform gum contouring using a special laser.

We do it under anesthesia, but even after the anesthesia wears off, there is almost no pain.

As I mentioned at the beginning, we reshaped the gums so that the teeth could be lengthened, correcting the proportions to be closer to adult teeth rather than childlike teeth.

Then we trim the surface by about 0.3 to 0.5 mm. Since it is such a small amount, we must be careful.

This is the process of smoothing the slightly uneven tooth surface and is necessary so the laminate can be placed with a uniform thickness naturally.

After the laminate is bonded, it needs to look evenly colored from every angle, so this fine adjustment process is absolutely necessary!!!!

*** For reference, the no-prep laminate often used in advertisements seems to be more suitable mainly for people with gaps between their teeth or chipped teeth ^^

To create Levnate Expert, we design the laminate using CAD/CAM.

Then we use a milling machine about the height of an adult to carve the ceramic block. After that, we apply coloring to each laminate surface to give it a natural shade. We also perform additional processing using ceramic powder to create a natural texture.

*** It is no exaggeration to say that this production process is the core of the Levnate workflow.

In general, most factory-style dental clinics that simply take impressions or scans and send them off to a dental lab cannot make a single laminate like this.

It may look pretty when you look in the mirror by yourself, but when placed next to Levnate, you will clearly feel the difference in quality haha

This is less a matter of skill difference and more a difference in the process—having a dedicated ceramist meet the patient directly, remember the shade, and carry out the processing.

Also, there is the ability to carefully discuss things with the main doctor, so we can proudly say this is the best working environment :)

And so, the completed Levnate Expert...

A brighter shade has appeared.

And instead of an overly artificial porcelain-like shine, the ceramic finishing on the surface adds a bit of texture, which also enhances the natural look.

It’s definitely brighter... it is whiter, but still natural.

I think this is the kind of result that’s hard to explain and belongs to the world of craftsmanship.

Usually, our Lev Dental Clinic gives patients about one week to try it out.

To get accurate feedback, we recommend using it for about a week and then coming back to the clinic.

You might think it looks darker because the photo was taken a little farther away.

From any angle, the original dark color of the teeth is no longer visible,

and the teeth don’t look too large or like horse teeth; they have a natural appearance.

If you compare them with the lower teeth, you can see the color difference even more clearly.

Placed in the mouth and viewed together with the eyes, nose, and mouth, you can see that this color is quite natural.

Skin tone is also an important factor, so we need to take that into account as well and create laminate that matches your personal color for the most natural result!!

Before & After

If you compare the before and after, you can see how naturally beautiful the result became.

The color was clearly improved and the shape was improved as well, yet it still has a natural charm.

That’s thanks to the performance of Levnate Expert ^^

And after the Levnate was bonded, the smile definitely became more natural, and the lip shape also looked prettier!

The patient may have practiced before the photo shoot.... but even so, the confidence they felt is what created such a pretty lip shape.

Even when you look only at the front teeth, you can clearly see that the impression is different.

We adjusted the gum contouring and tooth preparation by this much, and the before-and-after comparison is below.

It stands out most when the upper and lower teeth are seen together.

The horizontal-to-vertical ratio of the teeth improved, and the left-right symmetry improved significantly.

The teeth now suit the patient’s face shape, and I remember the result being very satisfying..^^

About 10 years ago, there was a rumor that getting laminate meant shaving down all your precious front teeth.

Even as a periodontist, I used to think that shaving down front teeth was truly a bad thing.

Since then, with the tremendous development of dental technology, milling machines have become capable of carving ceramic blocks to create laminate.

Ceramic strength has also improved dramatically, making it possible to create and use very thin laminate.

Bonding technology has also improved remarkably, allowing even very thin laminate to remain attached to teeth for a long time.

Thanks to these advances in science and technology, as long as we only prepare the tooth within the enamel thickness range (0.5 mm to 0.1 mm), we can create laminate in the shape and color we want.

Because this patient came in before a wedding photo shoot, we worked especially hard and quickly, but in most cases we can finish to this level of quality in just 3 to 4 days. Since the amount of tooth reduction is so small, there is no sensitivity, so we don’t even make temporary teeth~

Among our directors, three have already undergone laminate treatment themselves, so it has become a widely accepted treatment.
