Hello.
I’m Baek Wonjang from Rev Dental Clinic, the dream dental clinic.
The SIGNIEL Club at SIGNIEL Seoul, which I introduced a couple of times before.
It is a private space on the 107th floor that is loved by celebrities.
In the last post, I showed the dinner sushi omakase, and today it’s the lunch sushi omakase!
By the way.. it’s no secret that JYP was in the same space.....^^;;;

It always starts with the kind staff opening the door for you!
The "SIGNIEL Club" has a separate dedicated elevator, so you need to let them know in advance that you’re planning to visit in order to be guided.

For the Japanese sushi omakase, there are about 10 seats, but when I visited, there were other guests, so I couldn’t take any photos ^^;;
Our team and JYP’s party were seated at opposite ends of the counter...!...
Still, with the small placemat marked with SIGNIEL CLUB and the neatly arranged table setting left in place..
The view is not a Han River view, but an apartment view haha
Lunch sushi omakase requires advance reservation, and it costs 250,000 KRW per person. SIGNIEL Club members get a 20% discount.

Lobster sunomono
The meal started with a tangy appetizer made with lobster sashimi.
I don’t often get the chance to eat lobster sashimi, but when it’s lightly mixed with seaweed, it tastes really good.
A pleasant start.

Steamed abalone with liver sauce
Just looking at it, you can already guess what it tastes like, right~? haha
This is a bowl with a soft texture, rich flavor, and the deep umami unique to liver sauce.
I ate it up in no time.

Assorted sashimi, 3 kinds
As in the dinner sushi omakase, an assortment of three kinds of sashimi appeared.
I visited about a month and a half ago, so these were probably the best-tasting ones at the time.
From left to right: raw tuna lean meat, winter yellowtail, and Jeju grouper.

Doesn’t each slice look incredibly delicious..? hahaha
As far as I know, the raw tuna is flown in from Spain.
It had a pleasantly chewy lean texture, and I was disappointed there were only two slices...
Winter yellowtail—what more can I say! Winter yellowtail that melts in your mouth.. it really hits my taste perfectly.
And lastly, Jeju grouper! It has a slightly grainy texture, but the more you chew it, the more savory it becomes.
It appears again later too.

Sea bream & shiso sushi
Now the sushi begins.
For the first piece, sushi made by mixing sea bream and shiso appeared, packed with a gentle aroma and a savory saltiness.
A unique appearance and excellent taste.
I’m glad to see the two wonderful friends I came with enjoying it too.

The second piece is herring sushi.
As always with a good sushi omakase, the herring is never fishy, right..?
SIGNIEL Club was, of course, the same! Moist, not fishy, and pleasantly savory—very impressive.

Tuna belly sushi
The third star is tuna belly sushi.
We tasted the tuna lean meat earlier as sashimi... and now it’s the richer belly cut.
It’s raw tuna, and of course it melts smoothly in your mouth... raw tuna that you can only usually eat if you go to Japan! As expected, a delightful experience. !!

A seaweed egg custard topped with a delicious piece of oyster appears.
You can already tell what this tastes like just by looking at it~? haha
The soft texture, richness, and the special umami of the liver sauce make this bowl outstanding.
I ate it in one bite.

Sweet shrimp sushi
Sweet shrimp sushi is the kind of menu item that can’t go wrong.
I think there’s probably no Korean who doesn’t like sweet shrimp sushi. hahaha
Sweet, delicious sweet shrimp sushi that tastes great anytime! The size was large too, which made it very satisfying.

Striped jack sushi
The fifth star is striped jack, or shima aji, sushi.
Just looking at it, can’t you feel the firm texture? As expected, it has a grainy texture, and the more you chew, the more savory it becomes.
Usually, it should have a slightly more aggressive (!?) appearance, but SIGNIEL Club’s striped jack has an elegant look.

The grouper sashimi appears once again.
It tastes even better when served with seaweed. haha
Thank you for kindly holding it up for me to take a photo. Somehow, when I’m taking pictures, I get the feeling that they give me an especially pretty piece... though that’s probably just my mood today (!)

Striped squid sushi
This is the sixth piece of sushi. Striped squid appears.
I think I ate this during my last visit too—also at the dinner sushi omakase. I remember they said they receive it only once or twice a year, and it felt like they were cutting from a really huge squid whenever needed.
The neta is really quite thick, so when you eat it, your mouth feels full of squid. Good...

Maitake mushroom and plum tempura
One of the signature items of SIGNIEL Club’s Japanese restaurant: plum tempura!
The 특징 is that sweet Japanese plums are lightly fried with a thin coating.
As for the maitake mushroom, to be honest my palate isn’t refined enough, so it was just okay...
But the plum tempura was excellent and delicious again this time.
At the dinner omakase, remember there was also a red plum—? That one tastes a little better. haha

Tilefish sushi
The seventh sushi is tilefish sushi.
At ordinary Japanese restaurants, tilefish is usually grilled and served on rice, but here you can also enjoy it as sushi.
My own guess is that it might be because the tilefish is small..?
I liked the subtle smoky flavor, with a hint of char, and the chewy texture felt refined.

Fresh salmon roe and uni
A piece filled with Hokkaido uni.
Seeing this makes me want to go again.....ㅠㅠ
They kindly serve a generous amount wrapped in crisp seaweed. Wow.. of course it’s delicious..

Futomaki!
A beautifully made piece of futomaki!
If I remember correctly, I think I ate two ends... The appeal is that you can fit rice, tempura, and plenty of sashimi into one bite, right? hahaha This place is a futomaki gem.

Eel sushi
When this eel appears, you can think the meal is gradually coming to an end.
As I remember, it was a relatively standard piece. ^^

Lastly.. it’s a clear soup whose name I can’t remember.
The sushi we had up to this point wasn’t actually greasy, but it felt like it was neatly settling the stomach one last time!
It was delicious. I’ve visited the Japanese restaurant twice, and both times were satisfying.
It was a place I’d want to introduce to everyone I care about.

Unlike the dinner omakase, they said we could have dessert at the bar next door.
However, they said it was only available until 3 p.m.
We gladly accepted the suggestion and went over, and there was a Han River view. Just like the view at STAY. haha
As three guys sat in the spacious seats chatting, we lost track of time.
The dessert is delicious, needless to say..

Coffee costs roughly 18,000 to 20,000 KRW per cup.
We ordered three cups and enjoyed some cheerful conversation too.
Now that I’m thinking about it while writing this... even with the same SIGNIEL Club membership, it seems you get a 20% discount here and a 10% discount at the lounge. Since coffee here costs more, it’s better to eat it up here!! hahaha
Today’s meal was truly, truly delicious.!!!
Conclusion
SIGNIEL Club: a pleasant time that doesn’t disappoint.
As I remember.. I think I’ve visited four times in total: twice for Japanese cuisine and once each for Korean and Chinese cuisine. Every time I visited, the meal was private, polite, clean, and satisfying.
A great place for a simple meal with two or three people, and also a really nice place to rent a room for a family meal.
The dinner sushi omakase is regularly priced at 350,000 KRW per person, and the lunch sushi omakase is regularly priced at 250,000 KRW per person.
Personally, the dinner was excellent, but the lunch felt surprisingly good value for money. Usually, I understand that restaurants serve slightly less premium cuts at lunch and reserve the better cuts for dinner... but somehow SIGNIEL Club doesn’t feel that different..? haha

Parking: Free valet available with a credit card.
As I said before, it’s a place that’s good no matter when you go.
It’s really quiet... a place that leaves the restaurant empty while waiting for guests in order to respect privacy.
The service is also excellent, and it naturally makes you feel better about Lotte.
