Hello.
This is Dr. Baek from Ramineateu Lev Dental Clinic at Sinsa Station.
Here begins the review of my second trip to Bali in November 2025, a hotel staycation for the trip of a lifetime.
On my last Bali trip, I stayed at the Bulgari Bali & St. Regis Bali combination.
I loved it so much... I visited again in just seven months!
Last time, I explored the beaches in southern and eastern Bali. This time, I went with the goal of visiting the western beaches and Ubud.
This is the start of the review of 3 nights at W Bali Seminyak and 3 nights at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
W Bali - Seminyak
W Bali Seminyak
It is not too far from Ngurah Rai Airport, and its appeal lies in the view of the beach stretching out in a refreshing way.
It is a place where you can feel the free and fun atmosphere of W, one of Marriott Bonvoy's top-tier brands.

I started by showing the entrance right away.
The room we stayed in was..

Based on a Friday about a month later, this room was 11.6 million rupiah, or about 10.1 million won.
This was not the room we originally booked, and because I had Platinum status, we received an upgrade ^^;
Using the entrance shown above as the reference point, there is one villa on the left and one villa on the right.

When my pretty wife opens the door!
A pool villa with a private pool unfolds like this :)
This is what it looked like during the day, but as you know, when you fly to Bali on Korean Air, you arrive at night... so I only have photos taken at night on the inside. Haha.

At night, it has a certain atmospheric feel, right? Haha. It turns into a place with a moodier vibe :)

It somehow reminded me of that place at Bulgari Bali...
Actually, when you use it, the water at Bulgari Bali feels overwhelmingly cleaner..!..
If you go into the villa on the right..

A spacious king bed opens up right away.
Think of the entrance as being at the foot of the bed. When you wake up, sunlight comes in through the room~ haha.

Relative to the bed, the bathtub, toilet, and shower room are on the left.
On the right, there was a sofa that felt surprisingly comfortable to lie on, along with a TV, minibar, and more.

If you lie on that sofa, you can see the TV like this, and the bed is visible from a distance.

The welcome food was so eye-catching that I couldn’t not take a picture. Haha.
The hot-pink palm tree that symbolizes W Bali really catches your eye. But the taste was so-so....
The desserts in the back were also so-so... Western food and Japanese food in Southeast Asia are usually just so-so anyway..

Shall we shift our attention to the minibar?
There are various snacks and some slightly cheap-looking sunglasses.
The prices really weren’t that high. So I ate some snacks...
On the right are coffee capsules that seem to be provided only at W Bali. I made iced Americano with them.

Next to it is a table that is good for working (!)
I did a lot of work here with my laptop...

And there are several glassware items and utensils, and if you ask for ice, they bring a huge amount.. haha
The minibar also had the basics, so I ate what I wanted!! Since it’s Southeast Asia, it wasn’t very expensive.
Oh, and because the water quality is bad, for brushing your teeth and for drinking you absolutely have to use only the bottled water they provide!!!!!
(I heard that if you put on a shower filter and use it for just one day, it turns black.... I didn’t know that and just used it anyway...)

The bathtub that was briefly visible earlier!
It has W Bali’s own amenities. When you lie in the bathtub, you can see the private pool outside.
I thought it was pretty good for a half-body bath.

As expected, the bathroom has two sinks.
I mentioned before that good hotels have two sinks... right? Haha.
The inside of the pool villa is quite spacious. Very comfortable~~

Personally, I really disliked the amenities.
Just... there was no special scent, and it didn’t feel like it cleaned well either ㅠㅠ
These amenities are one of the big reasons I don’t want to go back..

The shower room and toilet are separate spaces.
At the time, the body wash pump in the shower room was broken. It was leaking all over...
For a 5-star hotel, there were quite a few disappointing points.
(It could just be because I’ve only been to places like Bulgari and St. Regis...)
One unusual thing is that behind the sink there is a space for storing luggage.
I found this spot surprisingly comfortable and nice.. haha

This was the in-room dining we ordered on the second day!
The price was not as expensive as expected, and the Southeast Asian food eaten in Southeast Asia was definitely delicious.
I personally recommend it!
Now that we’ve seen the room roughly, shall we take a look outside?

This is the lobby. During the day it looks like a rather ordinary space, but at night the lights come on and it transforms into a glamorous space. Haha. I didn’t use it, but it seemed like a place to enjoy a cocktail..

If you sit in one of the chairs in the lobby, you can just relax and beach-gaze! Haha
The beach is a bit far away, and there is a huge lagoon.
A lot of white tourists were enjoying sunbathing. Haha. Koreans put on sunscreen because they don’t want to get dark, so the culture is really very different.... haha
Just from the photos, doesn’t it feel peaceful?

It’s such a wide and beautiful space.
With all the palm trees around, it feels just like being in Hawaii... haha

That distant W is the symbol of W Bali... It feels even better when the sun is setting.

I took a photo with my wife, who is the youngest she will ever be today.
May this moment be remembered forever.

You can also order food by the lagoon!
When we go to the pool, we usually have a habit of eating Margherita pizza (!)
This guy may look like that, but it’s also a tasty one.
Somehow, pizza tastes better when eaten by the water. Haha.
Come to think of it, I was drinking Coke Zero, and my wife was drinking Bali beer~ haha
After the sun goes down, the beach becomes a hip and lively space.

When the sun sets, they turn on these yellow lights, and hip music echoes along the beach.
People from all over the world spend time just gazing at the beach and enjoying the moment ^^

This is the menu from a place called WET DECK.
You can have a cocktail. It’s around 20,000 won, right? I can’t not try it here either...

They serve it with a nice sense of atmosphere. Haha
There was something about the glassware that felt a bit cheap, typical of Southeast Asia~ haha

Enjoying our own time, cheers to your eyes haha

As night deepens, the view of the condo buildings becomes so atmospheric and beautiful.
It’s just such a great place to relax and eat without leaving the resort.

It was good.. Every day is a record and a memory.
They said there is a gym and a spa, so I got a massage.
It wasn’t good.....

If you go toward one side from the lobby, you can easily find the gym like this.
It was really super cool, and there was actually one couple working out.. haha
I just looked around for now...

The place we reached by walking over the bridge above the water on a rainy day was... the spa!
The massage at St. Regis Bali was such a pleasant experience that this time I came to try one even if I had to pay for it.

This is the AWAYSPA menu.
While I was hesitating, they said they would give us a special discount for tonight. Was it 25 percent... I should have realized it then....
So we decided to get a Balinese Massage. It was definitely not cheap.
It came out to about 180,000 won per person, right?

We had booked for the evening, and when we visited again, they gave us blue water.

This is the men’s locker room.
I was the only one there.. and it definitely showed its age..
It felt like a memory from the past, something that had tried to be hip.

A sauna? I guess that’s what you’d call it.
There was also a small bathtub and a space where you could sweat a bit, but it wasn’t my style so I didn’t use it.

This is exactly the space where my wife and I had our massage.
Of course, I don’t have any photos beyond that....
It was a combination of a young intern-looking person and an older lady.
Ah, this kind of half-hearted massage... they were way too careless....
It was honestly shocking. It’s not like we spent just a few dollars... we spent 300,000 won for the two of us....
This became the reason I decided I should never get a massage at a Southeast Asian hotel again.
In some reviews, people say it was refreshingly good, but both of us were very, very dissatisfied..!!!!!! A bad review.
I’m planning to divide the W Bali review into Part 1, which will cover the room, and Part 2, which will cover breakfast.
Personally, this was my first time visiting a “W” in my life. I once considered going to one in London, but after seeing poor reviews, I never did... It feels like it should be fancy and hip, but the age of the property makes it lose its vibe. Kind of like, how hip can an old man really be if he’s trying to be hip.....
I was happy to be upgraded to a pool villa, but even just by feeling it, the water quality was not pleasant. You could tell because the staff told us to use drinking water even when brushing our teeth... I guess that’s the limit in Southeast Asia? ㅠㅠ I probably won’t book a pool villa at full price... The facilities were disappointing.
Of course, I think Bulgari >> Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve > St. Regis >> W.. haha
In the next part, I’ll briefly take a look at breakfast~~
Thank you for reading this long post today as well.
This was Dr. Baek’s daily life from the dental clinic!!
