[Signiel Seoul] STAY – Lunch EMOTION Course Window-Seat View Review. Signiel Club Discount (+ Lotte Hotel Rewards Discount)

This is Dr. Baek’s food guide from Leve Dental Clinic, where people from around the world come for teeth whitening.

I went to Signiel Seoul for a meal!!!

STAY is the French restaurant at Signiel Seoul, located on the 81st floor.

It had been almost two years since my last visit. Even after such a long time, it was still a place that put me in a good mood!

Here is my review of the STAY lunch EMOTION course, which I visited after making a reservation in advance.

Signiel Seoul STAY

After joining Signiel Club, whenever I visited Signiel I was usually in a hurry to go straight upstairs, but this time I enjoyed the French restaurant again after a long while!

When you visit for lunch, the course is relatively shorter, which means you can enjoy a longer dessert period ^^ haha

Location: STAY, 81st floor of Lotte World Tower, 300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul

Parking: Valet parking is available.

When visiting, make sure you find the entrance to Signiel Seoul correctly.

The entrance is on the south side, facing Seokchon Lake, and you can leave your car with the valet at the main entrance.

The valet parking area for Avenuel is right next door, so it should not be too difficult to find.

If you have a partner credit card, valet parking may be available free of charge.

Exterior

This is a restaurant that has received and then lost one star from the Michelin Guide Seoul several times.

I think it has received the star three times. The awards are displayed out front.

I like the modern-feeling interior.

Interior

The high ceiling and open, spacious atmosphere are excellent!!

There are rows of tall windows stretching vertically, so the view is really nice~ haha

This may be the only place in Korea where you can enjoy a view from the 81st floor, right?

A KRW 30,000 surcharge applies when you reserve a window seat.

You might think it is expensive, but perhaps charging separately like this is actually the fairest approach.

This is the menu at Signiel Seoul STAY.

At lunch, there are two lunch courses.

They are FUN and EMOTION. One has one more dish, and the menus are slightly different.

Since we had made time to come all the way here, we decided on the EMOTION set.

The dinner course is longer, of course. But you end up too full to eat dessert........

Personally, I think the lunch course is better. Haha

Let’s begin the meal!!!

STAY amuse-bouche

Two small bites were served to each of us.

The one on the left contained carrot and ginger purée, while the one on the right contained Gruyère cheese inside and was topped with Comté cheese on the outside.

They serve to refresh your palate before the course meal begins!

Perhaps because we were a little late, the bread arrived as soon as we put the amuse-bouche in our mouths.

Fermented bread and a baguette were served.

The butter on the left is salted butter, and the butter on the right is unsalted. In the middle of the unsalted butter was a pink butter containing jambon-beurre; spread it on the bread and it tastes like jambon-beurre!!

Scallop carpaccio, white soy sauce vinaigrette, and violets

This scallop carpaccio looked wonderful from the moment it arrived.

There was olive oil drizzled on top, and the glossy sheen looked really beautiful.

When I took a close-up photo, it was clear once again~~ A Michelin one-star restaurant really is different, even in the details.

A good restaurant never looks unflattering in photos... hahaha

The scallop sashimi was sliced thinly enough that you can almost imagine the texture already, right? Haha

It was served with a crispy baguette, and you can place the scallop on top and eat it that way.

I never knew tender scallop could be this delicious :) The olive oil was incredibly good too.

White root vegetable velouté, broccolini, and pear

Finely chopped root vegetable velouté, broccolini, and pear were arranged between the nutty soup and its foam.

It looks even more delicious up close~

The velouté was cut into squares, while the pear was sliced into long strips.

When you take a spoonful, it has a rich, nutty flavor like cream of mushroom soup.

At the same time, the crisp texture of the vegetables as you chew is excellent!

The portion is not large, but every bite brings great pleasure.

Asparagus, Comté cheese, and vin jaune emulsion

This is one of my favorite dishes!!

Asparagus is in season right now~ The neatly prepared asparagus has such a wonderful bite.

It looks even more artistic in a close-up!

Think of it as asparagus topped with a vin jaune emulsion—a sauce made by boiling wine—and served with Comté cheese.

The sauce is quite bold and delicious, and it will make you think, “Ah, this is what French food is all about~”

Personally, this was the most memorable plate.

Roasted lobster and ginger beurre blanc

The neat and beautiful plating made me exclaim, “Wow!” as soon as I saw it.

The lobster had been completely shelled, with only the meat arranged on the plate.

You can see the beurre blanc sauce, right?

Naver tells me it is made by reducing vinegar and shallot sauce, then slowly emulsifying in butter. Haha

What can I say about lobster meat that looks delicious no matter how you photograph it....

I’ll be coming here often...

The lobster meat was simply bound to be delicious when you put a whole bite in your mouth!!

Premium Korean beef mille-feuille, lettuce, and fermented beet

The signature dish at Signiel Seoul STAY: Korean beef mille-feuille!!!

Thinly sliced two-plus-grade sirloin is layered with thinly sliced mushrooms and roasted.

It may be hard to tell what kind of dish it is from this angle~

(Oh, and for reference, you choose either lobster or steak. We simply took photos of each other’s dishes..)

From this angle, you can see exactly what it is!!

Why do iPhone photos have such great colors? Hahaha

Since the meat is layered one piece at a time, the key point is how softly it melts in your mouth when you eat it.

They recommend medium, so go with medium!

This was the potato salad served alongside it. It was topped with truffle.

The beautifully smooth salad also melted in the mouth, which felt really lovely~~

Now it was time for dessert. From this point on, you can bring desserts from the station far over there and enjoy them.

Personally, I like that the lunch course is shorter, which gives you relatively more time for dessert. Haha

Let’s make good use of this time!!

There were also six colorful macarons.

I was full and could only eat two... but eat them thinking that each one costs KRW 4,000~ hahaha

They reminded me of the Pierre Hermé macarons I had at The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto a while ago ^^;

There were also canelés and several kinds of chocolates.

All of these desserts tasted really, really good.

It was so happy to chat and relax with my wife during dessert time.

The last item was sugar-coated nuts!

There were three kinds, and I liked the two other than the almonds.

You can also choose a type of coffee, and one cup will be served per person.

Personally, the coffee was a little weak for my taste, so it was not quite my style......

It looks like the meal is coming to an end now~

Chocolate tart with port wine sauce

The sauce on top of the tart was made with port wine. As such, you can taste a little alcohol.

It tasted like the liquor-filled chocolates I had when I was young~ It was a little too grown-up for me, so I passed- hahaha

The ice cream was delicious.

People say it is difficult to scoop ice cream so neatly like this, right..? Haha

These were the desserts I brought back at the end!!

The chocolates were really delicious~ I did not check, but they are probably available for purchase, haha. Totally my style!!!

The macarons were also pleasantly delicious.

If you dine during lunch, you can stay until 2:30 p.m.

Lastly..

The manager offered to take a commemorative photo of the two of us, so we had our picture taken(?) at this photo spot. Haha

STAY has such a wonderful open feeling thanks to its high ceiling. It was only a little over an hour, but it was a happy time!!!

We enjoyed another truly delicious meal today.!!!

Conclusion

STAY is a good choice for an anniversary. Lunch is nice too.

It was enjoyable and delicious.

It was a French restaurant we had not visited in a long time. The view was naturally excellent, and both the service and food were wonderful.

Since we had enjoyed the dinner course last time, I wanted to try the lunch course this time. The lunch course was quite good, with lobster and premium Korean beef as the main dishes, and above all, the dessert period was excellent. Haha

The total was KRW 400,000: KRW 330,000 for the two-person course, KRW 30,000 for the window view, and KRW 40,000 for the premium Korean beef.

As Signiel Club members, we received a 10% discount, excluding the window-seat charge, bringing the total to KRW 363,000. Before paying, check whether you have any Lotte Hotel Rewards available! In my case, I had two USD 10 discount coupons and around 7,000 points, so I received an additional discount of approximately KRW 30,000 and KRW 110,000, respectively!!! As a result, the actual amount paid was in the low KRW 200,000s~

Parking: Valet parking is available.

It is not really a place where you should say it offers good value for money, right..? Haha Still, it is true that it delivers a satisfying experience for the price paid. On my last visit, I used a Lotte Department Store gift certificate, and using gift certificates may make the visit more cost-effective. (If you purchase a gift certificate worth KRW 500,000 or more, you receive cash back for the amount exceeding KRW 300,000.)
