Hello, today I’d like to share a review of rapid orthodontic treatment focused on the front teeth.
This was a short-term orthodontic treatment for peg teeth and crowded teeth.
It is a review of rapid orthodontics, front tooth partial orthodontics, and no-prep laminate treatment, Jellami.

23.10~24.05
Although the problems such as crowded teeth, peg teeth, deep bite, and midline misalignment may look complicated, I’ll show you how far we could go in a short period with front tooth partial orthodontics.
This patient came in wanting to align the front teeth, including the canine crowding.

23.10
They were getting married soon, so they said full orthodontic treatment would be burdensome, and they wanted short-term treatment with minimal intervention.
Fortunately, the molar bite was in relatively good condition, so front tooth partial orthodontics was also recommended.
Front tooth partial orthodontics is recommended only when it can produce good results comparable to full orthodontics.
If full orthodontics is unavoidable, front tooth partial orthodontics is not recommended.

23.10
The blue arrow indicates a peg tooth, and the alignment of the back molars excluding the front teeth is good.

23.10
The blue arrow indicates a peg tooth.
In cases with crowded teeth or peg teeth, the front tooth midline often shifts toward that side.
In front tooth partial orthodontics, the midline is often compromised, but if laminate treatment is used to restore the peg tooth to a normal size,
the treatment can be finished while also aligning the midline.
Therefore, after the front tooth partial orthodontic treatment, no-prep laminate treatment for the peg tooth was also recommended.

23.10
In the photo on the right, you can see that the first premolar bite is not fully seated.
Typically, front tooth partial orthodontics targets only the six front teeth from canine to canine, but to improve the premolar bite as well,
we decided to attach appliances to a total of eight teeth, one behind each canine.

24.05
This is a photo from the final stage of treatment.
Partial orthodontics is being carried out by placing appliances only on the eight upper and eight lower front teeth.
A spring has been inserted to create space for the laminate in the peg tooth area.

24.05
Seven months later, the orthodontic treatment was completed, and space was created near the peg tooth for the laminate.

24.05
Using that space, no-prep laminate treatment, Jellami, was completed as well.

24.05
The peg tooth was restored to the same size and shape as the tooth on the opposite side.

23.10~24.05
The peg tooth indicated by the blue arrow was treated to a normal size.

23.10~24.05
The crooked front teeth were also aligned.

23.10~24.05
The premolar that had been out of occlusion also returned to its proper position.

The deep bite, where the front teeth overlap too much, was also improved to some extent.
The midline improvement is also noticeable.

23.10~24.05
With front tooth orthodontics, all of these things improved.
The smile improves naturally.
Front tooth partial orthodontics is a very short-term treatment, so it is performed only on certain teeth.
Compared with full orthodontics, which realistically takes 1 to 2 years, it may seem like you have to give up many things, but
with an appropriate treatment plan and skill, many issues can still be addressed through partial orthodontics.
I hope this helps those who are considering it.
