Hello
This is Apgujeong Orthodontic Clinic.
Let us introduce Apgujeong no-prep laminate Gelami.
As the gum line gradually recedes with age, old crowns also need to be replaced to match the gum line.
This is because the roots become exposed below crowns that were placed long ago.
Today, I will introduce a case in which old crown replacement and no-prep laminate treatment were performed together.

23.06
This is a patient in their 40s who came in for no-prep laminate treatment for the front teeth, adjusted to the lowered gum line.
Traces of a crown treatment for a peg lateral tooth done long ago are visible.
A chipped area is also visible at the edge of the front tooth.

23.06
Due to periodontal disease, the gums have receded significantly in some areas, and large black triangles are visible.
Fortunately, the teeth are fairly well aligned, and the tooth angles are straight without protrusion, so we can proceed directly to fitting without orthodontic treatment.

23.06
We check the tooth shape and size with fitting, then begin making the laminate.
One week is needed between the first visit and fitting.
After fitting, it takes another week to revise the shape and complete the laminate fabrication.

23.07
This is the appearance one week later after the laminate was bonded.
The two existing crowns were replaced to match the gum line,
and a total of six no-prep laminates were treated, from premolar to premolar.

The design was carefully planned so that the black triangles are well concealed without creating a step at the transition area.
Gum health always comes first.

23.06~23.07
To avoid looking too bright and unnatural, the tone is made naturally milky.
We do not recommend a cool-tone white with a bluish feel.
For the skin tones of people in Korea, cool-tone white laminates look unnatural.
