Hello,
Let me introduce Apgujeong no-prep laminate veneers.

24.01
This patient visited us for no-prep laminate veneer treatment.

They had completed orthodontic treatment a long time ago, and since retainers had come off at times, there are spaces between the front teeth.

What stands out in this patient’s treatment is the smile line.
What is the smile line?
It refers to the line connecting the edges of the upper teeth.

If this smile line is flat or reversed, as in the image above, the smile can look awkward.
As shown in the image below, a smile line that is parallel to the lower lip looks the most beautiful.

Let’s look at the patient’s smile line.
The line connecting the teeth is straight, right?
This is called a reverse or flat smile.
It looks somewhat awkward when smiling, doesn’t it?
When making no-prep laminate veneers, it is good to create a beautiful smile line by adjusting the length from the front teeth to the lateral incisors and canines.

Fortunately, because the patient had previously undergone orthodontic treatment and had retainers bonded in place, the teeth were aligned even though there were gaps. So we were able to proceed directly with fitting for no-prep laminate veneers.
We decided to place a total of 8 no-prep laminate veneers on the upper teeth, extending to the premolars behind the canines.
Now, let’s look at the fitting photos.

24.01
You can see that the two front teeth in the center have become longer.

24.01
If the two central incisors are made longer and the teeth become progressively shorter toward the canines, the smile line can be changed.
From the existing flat impression to a beautiful curve that is parallel to the lower lip.
A single smile line can make your smile look natural and beautiful.
On the day of fitting, in addition to fine adjustments to the smile line, we also reflected the patient’s preference for the degree of roundedness at the edges of the teeth when making the final veneers. The patient wanted a slightly more rounded shape than the fitted teeth, so the final veneer shape was as follows.

24.01~24.02
GELAMI no-prep laminate veneers are performed with 100% no reduction, no anesthesia, and no temporary teeth.
It is not just no-prep in name only.
It is truly no-prep, not even minimal reduction.
We prioritize a natural tooth shape and tone above all else.

24.01~24.02
Let’s compare the occlusal surface photos so you can estimate how thick GELAMI no-prep laminate veneers are.
The top image is the initial visit, and the bottom image shows all 8 teeth with no-prep laminate veneers attached without any reduction.
The fact that there is hardly any visible difference in thickness shows how thin GELAMI veneers are.
At the thinnest area, they can be reproduced down to 0.1 mm.

24.01~24.02
The spaces between the teeth were filled with veneers.
The canines were designed to maintain the original tooth length as much as possible, and the length gradually increased vertically from the lateral incisors toward the front teeth to reproduce a rounded smile line downward.
If you look at the front before-and-after photos, the change in the smile line becomes clearer.

24.01~24.02
Shall we draw the smile line?

24.01~24.02
A natural smile line changes the impression.

24.01~24.02
A smile line parallel to the lower lip

24.01~24.02
Many people worry that if no-prep laminate veneers are placed only on the upper teeth, there will be a significant color difference from the lower teeth.
It depends on the patient’s natural tooth color, but for people whose original teeth are not dark, whitening the lower teeth alone can make them blend well with almost no tone difference.
May you be filled with only good things along with a beautiful smile.
