Non-Extraction Orthodontic Correction for Crossbite and Crowding with Clippy-C

When there is crowding but no protrusion, so extraction orthodontic treatment feels too wasteful, non-extraction crowding correction is performed. This is orthodontic treatment that uses the space from wisdom teeth.

This is an orthodontic method that creates space by pushing the molars backward using the wisdom teeth space when space is needed to expand the crowded teeth.

This patient visited because they wanted crowding correction.

Crowding is visible on one side of the canine.

Because there is no lip protrusion and there is enough wisdom tooth space, an extraction plan for premolars is not appropriate.

We decided to proceed with non-extraction orthodontic treatment using the wisdom tooth space, and the patient chose Clippy-C orthodontic treatment.

The crowding was resolved, but to bring the front teeth backward, four mini-screws were placed from this point, and we began moving the entire dentition backward into the wisdom tooth space.

At 2 years and 2 months after treatment began, the treatment was finally completed.
