Sinsa Station restaurant, Sinsa Mosori
Pork specialty cuts BBQ place
I was told there was a delicious place for specialty cuts of pork
near Sinsa Garosu-gil that I absolutely had to visit,
so I finally got around to going.
It was already well known as a Sinsa Station restaurant,
Sinsa Mosori!
Sinsa Mosori is a place that serves pork specialty cuts,
and it’s located a little away from Garosu-gil.
I thought it would be crowded since it was the weekend,
but when I went at an odd time after dinner hours,
there weren’t many people.

Since it’s a place that serves pork specialty cuts,
there wasn’t anything like samgyeopsal or pork neck.
When I was first recommended this Sinsa Station restaurant,
I was told to try mosorisal, gaorisal, and gareommaksal.
Since I said it was my first time here,
the staff strongly recommended that I try these three specialty cuts first!

Even though there weren’t many people when we came in,
Sinsa Mosori near Sinsa Station filled up quickly.
Still, the cool breeze came in nicely,
so it was great that we could grill and eat meat without air conditioning.

The water cups are paper cups,
and they have instructions for how to enjoy the meat.
-
Put one piece of meat on cabbage pickle with wasabi and eat it.
-
Mix the cabbage salad with egg yolk well,
then place it on a small plate and wrap the meat in it for a nutty taste.
-
Dip the meat deeply into the bubbling anchovy simmered dish.
(It’s even better if you eat the meat with pickled onions and peppers.)
It was something like that.
Even if you don’t read what’s written on the cup in detail,
the staff explain everything to you!

The Sinsa Mosori cabbage salad topped with a rich egg yolk
has plenty of sesame oil,
so the aroma is incredibly nutty from the start!!!

The pickled onions and peppers that make your hand reach for them automatically

From the left in the photo:
gareommaksal, mosorisal, gaorisal
These are the cuts they had.
They said to start by grilling the gareommaksal first!
The gareommaksal seemed to be a style that many people would enjoy,
with a good balance of fat and lean meat.
Mosorisal is a cut with more fat than gareommaksal,
and it seemed similar to hangjeongsal!
Lastly, gaorisal has almost no fat
and was good for enjoying a clean, light flavor.

The staff grill the meat nicely for you,
and explain how to eat it in the tastiest way.
(I was also told what each cut was, but I can’t remember... haha)
For me, the best combination was the bubbling anchovy simmered dish
with wasabi on the side.

Trying it once as recommended

The meat cooks quickly, so there’s no long wait,
and before the meat could even burn,
it was already all taken off the grill, so it didn’t have time to get cold either haha

At this Sinsa Station restaurant,
I also tried gumeongsal and samgaksal at Sinsa Mosori!
These two cuts also had almost no fat,
and a firmer, chewier texture.
One person in our group said gaorisal was the tastiest,
I said mosorisal was the best,
and another person said gareommaksal suited their taste best.
(Our tastes were all different, in every way...)
The gumeongsal and samgaksal we ordered later were delicious too!!!!!!!!!!

Looking around, it seemed like almost everyone was eating jjageuli rice,
but we wanted doenjang jjigae more,
so we also ordered Sinsa Mosori’s Jeju doenjang jjigae.
Maybe because it had chaebol beef brisket in it, the doenjang jjigae tasted absolutely perfect..ㅠㅠ..
The meat was so delicious, but
this was also such a delicious doenjang jjigae at Sinsa Mosori.

Eating pork specialty cuts and Jeju doenjang jjigae together
was so delicious that even when I was full, I couldn’t put my spoon down,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!
I definitely said I’d just eat a little rice,
but I think I scraped the bowl clean haha
Still, everyone in our group said it was delicious,
and everyone ate well, so I was really happy with this Sinsa Station restaurant!
I’d definitely come back here 500%!
