Konkuk University restaurant Choya Sushi
The salmon sushi quality is absolutely great!
/
It had been a really, really long time since I visited Konkuk University.
I went to Hoya Sushi, one of the best sushi places among Konkuk University restaurants.
It’s such a famous place that you really have to expect a wait.
I went on a weekday evening,
and I remember waiting about 30–40 minutes.

I couldn’t take photos of the exterior or interior of the Konkuk University Hoya Sushi
because there were just too many people...!
If I posted photos, they would probably be full of mosaics!
Hoya Sushi is divided into the main building and the annex,
and since the two shops are connected, there’s no need to go looking for them separately.
I waited and went to the annex,
then walked all the way inside and got a seat.
Konkuk University Hoya Sushi also has a huge menu.
I ordered the A Hoya Set / B Special Hoya Set / C Salmon Sushi Set (with onion sauce).

The tables were completely full, so it took a little while for the sushi we ordered to come out.
Still, since people said Konkuk University restaurant Hoya Sushi is similar to Eonkengol, I had high expectations.
First, the Hoya Sushi set came out and I tried it,
and it really does taste similar to Eonkengol,
but with a slightly less sweet flavor.
Either way, Hoya Sushi is also incredibly delicious.^^
Konkuk University sushi set composition
A Hoya
Tuna 2, seasonal fish 2, salmon 2, steamed webfoot octopus 2, steamed shrimp 2, steamed turban shell 2
B Special Hoya
Tuna 2, seasonal fish 3, salmon 2, salmon belly 1, soy sauce marinated shrimp 2, eel 2
C Salmon

The sushi didn’t all come out at once,
and I ate it in the order it was made.
As the sushi came out, fried shrimp, grilled salmon, and fish cake soup were also served,
and everything was good!
The grilled salmon, especially, was such a treat.

Finally, the salmon sushi from Konkuk University Hoya Sushi, the one I most wanted to eat!
A full plate of salmon sushi came out, with 12 pieces on the plate.
And onion and sauce were added on top of each piece of sushi.
Salmon is always delicious no matter when you eat it,
but I think it tastes best when it’s sushi.

At first, while eating, I wondered, would this really fill me up~~~?
But as I kept eating, the portion was really large.
Compared with other sushi places, Hoya Sushi feels like it uses thicker and larger slices of sashimi.
Maybe that’s why I really enjoyed the sashimi sushi.
I’m definitely planning to go back to Hoya Sushi next time.
Personally, I enjoyed it so much that I didn’t even mind the wait :-)
Thank you for the meal!
