The dream hospital that Dr. Kim Hak-young, the representative director and also the chief person in charge of Eton Plastic Surgery, wants to build.

The direction Eton Plastic Surgery is moving in, and wants to move toward, is

To help patients live happily after surgery. And with the belief that employees and fellow doctors must be happy in order to provide good service to patients as well, we aim to build a hospital that grows together.

Beyond simply appearance, we pursue positive changes in life and help people discover inner beauty.

I do not think plastic surgery is a field that determines life or death.

In most cases, people come to us because they want to be happier.

You came to become happier, but through this surgery it should not turn into an experience that is extremely hard, scary, painful, regretful, and distressing.

To prevent that, I give the best advice I can as a professional. Throughout that process, the patient should be able to comfortably express their thoughts and concerns, and it is also important that they feel at ease during the surgery or procedure.

I have also undergone surgery under general anesthesia and gone through a difficult recovery process, so I know that pain well.

That is why, to help with recovery even more, even if it requires additional cost, we must apply effective methods, and we should spare no expense on the medications and supplies needed during surgery so that we can achieve the best possible results. If it is something I cannot do for my own family, I never do it.

In creating the values we have in mind, the highest level of technology provided to patients and the highest level of welfare provided to employees are non-negotiable.

Rather than my own profit, there must be appropriate compensation for excellent employees and outstanding colleagues. That is because we hold to the principle that if employees are happy, they can also make customers happy.

Personally, I continue studying so that I can provide the best surgery to my patients.

To keep my specialty knowledge from becoming outdated and to maintain it at the latest level, there are regular feedback sessions and discussions for improvement with colleagues, and I also hold seminars to strengthen my expertise.

Above all, as a healthy mind lives in a healthy body, I make various personal efforts to maintain that. If I am not in my best condition, it is difficult to provide patients with the best care.

Aside from doing my best to share the knowledge I have as a specialist, this is why I emphasize healthy lifestyle habits as well as surgery.

You come to me because you want to gain beauty through me. Beyond simply providing medical treatment, I believe it is also important to help patients discover their own beauty and youth.

If someone comes in wanting to become prettier through plastic surgery, but what they really need is a diet, then I explain how they can diet in a healthy way.

If someone comes for anti-aging because they want to look younger, I first talk about ways to live healthily. Even becoming healthier alone can truly make you look younger. Sometimes, providing advice tailored to the patient’s needs is more important than boasting about my surgical skills.

#Senior Moment

I have been a doctor for 20 years and a board-certified specialist for 15 years, and I have come this far thanks to the teaching, care, and many forms of help I received from good parents, teachers, and seniors. Repaying them would mean filial piety and surpassing one’s teacher.

What I received from them is repaid by going further ahead and showing an even better version of myself.

Things that cannot be taught in a book or by words are taught by showing directly, by holding someone up beside you, and by leading from the front. I hope those things will eventually lead to something better, and I hope to carry the baton and continue doing even better work.
