On June 28, 2019, an interview with Director Lee Mi-seok of Lee Mi-seok Theme Dermatology Clinic was featured on MBC's "Power Magazine."
MBC Power Magazine Episode 10 Beauty Insider Side <How to Eliminate Sticky Summer Body Odor>

Q Why does sweat smell bad in the summer, when sweat odor is such a nuisance?
Lee Mi-seok, Director of Lee Mi-seok Theme Dermatology Clinic: Sweat itself usually does not have much of a smell. When sweat is broken down by bacteria, it is decomposed into ammonia fatty acids. Those are what cause the odor.

Q Is it okay to use deodorant?
Lee Mi-seok, Director of Lee Mi-seok Theme Dermatology Clinic: You should use deodorant that does not cause irritation. If you apply it and it stings or itches, you should never use it.

Q What is the relationship between body hair and sweat odor?
Lee Mi-seok, Director of Lee Mi-seok Theme Dermatology Clinic: If there is body hair, sweat odor can be stronger. The more body hair there is, the more bacteria accumulate in that area, and when sweat is produced there, the bacteria act on it and break the sweat down into ammonia fatty acids, which makes the odor stronger.

Q Is self-hair removal, which can cause irritant dermatitis and folliculitis, okay?
Lee Mi-seok, Director of Lee Mi-seok Theme Dermatology Clinic: If possible, it is helpful to go to a specialized hair-removal shop and get the procedure done by a waxing expert. I think the best option would be to go to a hospital and have permanent hair removal with a laser device.
