When you’re trying to decide what to eat and keep thinking, “I want this, and I want that too,” the word that comes to mind is #buffet. In the past, even if I visited a good-value buffet, I thought that was fine, but these days the cost of those good-value buffets has gone up so much that I’ve started thinking it’s better to invest a little more and go somewhere better, and that’s how I began to take an interest in #hotelbuffets.
I haven’t been to many hotel buffets, but I visited #Flavors at #JWMarriottHotel, which I can say ranks among the best among the #Seoulhotelbuffets I’ve tried.

Actually, I think everyone who knows about it probably already knows.
JW Marriott Hotel Flavors, already famous as one of the best Seoul hotel buffet restaurants, is hard to book on weekends.
Its location at Express Bus Terminal also makes it easier to visit than some other hotel buffets, which seems to make it even more popular.
Flavors is recognized by many people for its taste, to the point that it has ranked No. 1 on TripAdvisor. But because it is a hotel buffet, the price is definitely high, so I can’t go often, and it’s a little sad that I can only visit on special occasions.
I want to eat this delicious food without worrying about the cost.
Thankfully, these days you can buy meal vouchers from various places, so it’s nice that you can find discounted prices.
I think the most convenient option is Naver Reservation. You can do the date, time, and discount all at once.
That’s how I ended up visiting this best Seoul buffet restaurant, JW Marriott Hotel Flavors!!
The selection of dishes is varied enough. Sometimes you go to a hotel buffet and there are so few items that it’s disappointing, and other times there are so many that you don’t know what to eat.
In that sense, JW Marriott Hotel Flavors has just the right number of dishes, and every one of them is delicious, which I really like.

I seem to like meat, but I also like seafood, so I guess I’m just someone who likes eating in general.
You can already tell without even trying it that the abalone and grilled shrimp will taste good. And one of the great things about a hotel buffet is being able to enjoy a variety of meats. These days, because of camping and other trends, many people eat lamb chops, but somehow lamb chops feel like they’re best when eaten at a hotel buffet!!!
Maybe because if they’re cooked poorly, they can have a strong unpleasant smell.

There are so many kinds of dishes at Flavors, but I brought these first as appetizers.
A salad as an appetizer would be a luxury!!
You should bring back some meat, shrimp, and abalone and enjoy them one by one.
Abalone can turn chewy if it isn’t grilled properly, but the food at Flavors really was perfect across the board.

The meat had no unpleasant smell and wasn’t tough, so I was able to enjoy it.
I wanted to eat it many times, but then I wouldn’t have been able to try other dishes, so I only took one or two pieces.

One of the reasons JW Marriott Hotel Buffet Flavors is so good is that you can enjoy both meat and seafood in balance.
I think it’s nice that you can eat lobster and king crab together.


However, since they can’t keep steaming them on the spot fast enough to match how quickly people eat, you end up tasting king crab in a chilled state. So for people who dislike cold king crab, it may not be ideal. I personally don’t especially like cold king crab either, but I still enjoyed it a lot.
If I had to mention one small disappointment, it would be that because it was already boiled in advance, the king crab didn’t have much moisture.
What more can I say about the lobster!! The meat was pleasantly chewy and delicious.
Between the king crab and lobster, which are the seafood mainstays at Marriott Hotel Flavors, it’s hard to choose one, but depending on your taste, one may seem more delicious than the other. Of course, it can also depend on the quality of the ingredients that day.

JW Marriott Hotel Buffet is among the pricier hotel buffets in Seoul, but considering that you can eat such a wide variety of high-quality food, I think it’s worth the price.

It was really good to eat when I wanted to freshen up my mouth after eating a lot. It had a clean, refreshing taste, and I felt like I could start over again.


One of the things I usually didn’t eat at buffets was soup-based dishes, but at some point I started filling a bowl with vegetables so they could make me some soup.
I don’t know why, but now it feels like one of those made-to-order dishes that, if you don’t eat it when you go to a buffet, you’ll feel disappointed, and if you leave without it, you’ll regret not having at least tasted a bite. That said, it can make you full, so I skip the noodles.

If you’ve eaten meat and seafood, then sashimi is another thing you can’t leave out.
I think sashimi is what lets you enjoy delicious food without getting too full.
Because the slices are fairly thick, you can enjoy the texture as it cools, yet still feel how fresh it is, and somehow every piece has a rich, savory flavor.


My favorite Gorgonzola pizza!!! I shared one slice with my companion.
It’s true that once you eat flour-based, carbohydrate-heavy food, you feel much fuller, and then you end up raising the white flag because you want more but can’t eat any further.

But no matter how full I am, I think dessert and after-meal sweets are something I can never give up.
The saying that there really is a separate stomach for dessert and a separate stomach for meals always seems true.
Because I found myself eating dessert even though I thought I couldn’t possibly eat any more.

A harmony of sweet drinks!! I put together the ultimate sweet selection.
And I also added fruit, along with pineapple that can help with digestion. I ate the fruit and dessert with the feeling that the pineapple would help me digest a little and let me start again.


Once again, I ate so many delicious dishes at JW Marriott Flavors, a Seoul hotel buffet, that I was almost too full to keep going.
I feel like I probably gained 2 kg from eating so much, but even as I’m writing this post, I still want to eat there again, and the dishes I couldn’t have one more time keep lingering in my mind.
I guess I’ll have to look forward to my next visit to JW Marriott Hotel Flavors, one of the best Seoul hotel buffets.
