I had been on edge because the rainy season was supposed to start... but there didn’t seem to be any sign of rain, and finally it started raining today. It would feel refreshing only if it poured heavily... Since the rain keeps coming and going, it actually feels even more humid.
As the hot and humid weather kept going, I didn’t want to go out for lunch, so I teamed up with my coworkers and ordered delivery from a Chinese restaurant.
As expected, when it comes to delivery food, Chinese food is the best.👍
I think we ordered a variety of dishes.
For a change, we ordered jjajang on a tray, spicy gochujjambbong that isn’t visible in the photo, mapo tofu, fried rice, and tangsuyuk, which is a must for Chinese food, and we even got free fried dumplings, which I hadn’t received in a long time!!
First of all, Chinese food doesn’t usually make you think it tastes terrible. As expected, it was generally delicious, but the most delicious items were the gochujjambbong and mapo tofu. The tangsuyuk was a little, or rather a lot, disappointing. It had a chewy texture rather than a crispy one, so I ended up leaving more than half of it. I briefly thought about saving it and eating it the next day, but I didn’t think I would actually eat tangsuyuk that already tasted bad when it had just been delivered, even if I left it for later.
Since I ate so much that I was truly stuffed, I thought I should have a light dinner or skip it altogether...

I couldn’t just pass by Yongdong Naengmyeon, located in the basement of Building 3 at Banpo Shopping Town, across from Express Bus Terminal, and before I knew it, my feet were heading there.
I think Yongdong Naengmyeon is the only place in the Gangnam area that specializes only in naengmyeon.
Yongdong Naengmyeon is even more popular because it uses 100% buckwheat and beef bone broth.
In fact, Yongdong Naengmyeon is not ordinary naengmyeon but spicy naengmyeon, so it’s a place often visited by people who like spicy food.
For those who can’t handle spicy food, the mulnaengmyeon can also be ordered as plain water naengmyeon without sauce. And interestingly, this place also offers a large serving.
Many people feel that one bowl of naengmyeon isn’t enough, so for those people, ordering a large serving would be a good idea.
The reason I go to Yongdong Naengmyeon is to enjoy the taste of spicy naengmyeon, so I ordered bibim naengmyeon. You can adjust the spiciness.

It’s topped generously with sesame powder and cucumber. It does contain pickled radish, but it’s also tasty if you mix in a little more of the pickled radish served as a side dish.
Maybe because it uses 100% buckwheat, the color of the buckwheat noodles was definitely close to black.
It didn’t seem that spicy at first, but as I kept eating, the heat suddenly started to build up, so I kept eating while repeatedly going, “tsk~, ha~, tsk~, ha~.”

After eating that much for lunch and then eating a full dinner too, I needed to burn off some calories.
Since it looked like I wouldn’t be able to ride once the rain started, I rented a Ttareungyi and pedaled hard all the way home.
I wanted to throw the bike away before even getting home, but with the feeling of “Will you win, or will I?” I made it all the way home. After finishing the ride, I felt proud. I thought, “So I really burned off all the calories I ate today.” Instead, I lost the lower half of my body.
My legs are wobbling, and my butt hurts.... I don’t think I’ll want to even look at a Ttareungyi for a while, but the fortunate thing is that it’s raining.
