There are many words that come to mind when you think of summer, but the word “water play,” which I had forgotten because of COVID-19, came back to mind as COVID-19 quarantine guidelines were relaxed. For that reason, most places where you can enjoy water play have reopened, and I think many people will be glad to hear that the Guri Namyangju water playground has reopened.
It’s really so nice that there’s a place like this near Seoul.
Guri City Water Playgrounds
There are a total of five water playgrounds operating in Guri and Namyangju.
The water playgrounds managed by the Guri City Parks and Greenery Division are Galmae Central Park, Donggu Haneul Park, Wangsukcheon Riverside Park, Inchang Areum Village Park, and Topyeong Park.
Operating period: 2022.06.18 (Sat) ~ 08.28 (Sun)
Open on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays; closed every Monday
Operating hours: 10:00 AM ~ 5:40 PM
40 minutes of operation, 20 minutes of break — this seems just like the Hangang swimming pool.

Because the Guri water playground is operated for free, so many families came.
On hot summer days, children run around as soon as they see even a ground fountain, getting splashed by water, so a small water playground in a park like this is practically paradise.
It seems that for Guri City residents and the many people who come after hearing about it, the most important thing is to follow public etiquette well in order to have fun. That way, we can use this great water playground for a long time.

You might think that because it’s a water playground in a park, it’s just there for show, but that is absolutely not true!!
Could it be described as a mini water park?!
Water sprays out around the slide, and it’s truly a place that children can’t help but love. Kids who have been stuck at home for a while because of COVID-19 must feel like this is paradise!!

It doesn’t seem like only the children are having fun at the water playground. When you’re watching them for safety, the occasional splashes of water feel refreshing and can even bring out a bit of childlike joy.

The sky seen from the shade and the Guri Namyangju water playground look so nice.
The children are excited because they get to play in the water, it feels refreshing just to watch, and above all, it’s even better that it can be enjoyed for free.
If you’re wondering where to go this weekend, why not visit the Guri water playground near Seoul? It may be crowded on weekends, but there are crowds everywhere on weekends anyway.
