Jamsilsaenae Cafe Recommendation: Tressed

Maybe because the weather was so hot, I found myself craving something cool and sweet. So while looking for a place to go, I visited Tressed, which I had seen recommended often as a Jamsilsaenae cafe.

The moment I arrived, I understood why this place is famous for desserts.

Tressed is said to be a European modern dessert cafe based on Italy, which is probably why cannoli is its signature dessert.

There were many other desserts that looked delicious too, but since it was my first visit, I thought it would be best to try the most classic and representative dessert, so I ordered cannoli.

At this Jamsilsaenae cafe recommendation, Tressed, I chose two cannoli flavors that really captured the Italian vibe: tiramisu and pistachio.

The cannoli tiramisu is 6,000 won, and the cannoli pistachio is 6,500 won. The price is a bit high compared to the size, but once you taste it, the price stops mattering.

The cream is packed inside an extremely thin and crispy shell, and the pastry is so thin and crunchy that it almost breaks apart with the first bite. Even with the cream inside, it stays so crisp that I could tell why this Jamsilsaenae cafe, Tressed, is known as a dessert hotspot.

Since I expected the dessert to be sweet, I thought it would be better to order a drink that was not too sweet.

The Americano, which pairs so well with dessert, is 4,500 won, so the coffee price does not feel overly high compared to the desserts. You can also adjust the strength of the coffee, so I ordered it weak.

This is the Royal Milk Tea I finally decided on after a lot of 고민. It seems like this Jamsilsaenae cafe, Tressed, is not only a dessert spot but also a place that does drinks well.

The Royal Milk Tea is 6,500 won and is not as sweet as I expected. I thought it might have been made less sweet to go with the desserts.

That said, if you were to drink the Royal Milk Tea on its own, it might be a bit divisive because it is not very sweet. But since it seems unlikely that anyone visiting Tressed would skip dessert, I think it would be just the right milk tea to enjoy together with dessert.

I came to understand why I recommend the Jamsilsaenae cafe Tressed the moment I tried the cannoli dessert, and then once again while enjoying it with coffee and milk tea. It feels like they make their desserts to pair perfectly with the drinks they serve, so if you're looking for a dessert cafe, I can recommend stopping by Tressed.
