To those who have come to know
Dentist Kim Geun-il
Hello.
I am Dentist Kim Geun-il.

I started this blog to provide all patients who are considering dental treatment with a little more high-quality information.
First, I felt that I should introduce myself.
To operate this blog with true sincerity and in a way that is helpful to patients, I believe mutual communication is important, not just providing information unconditionally.

To do that, I judged that it should come first to explain in detail my mindset toward patients and my treatment direction.
So today, I’d like to tell you about the three treatment philosophies that I insist on no matter what.
I hope this article can be an opportunity for you to think about which medical team you would like to receive treatment from, so please be sure to read to the end :)
- I will relieve all discomfort.

Most people visit a hospital when they are in pain or discomfort.
The same goes for dentistry.
Of course, there are not a few people who come in for checkups or prevention, but there are still more people who visit when they are feeling discomfort.
What is it that those people want most?
It is to relieve the discomfort they are feeling right away.
Let me give you an example.
There was a patient who came in with such severe tooth pain that eating was difficult.
This patient had not visited the dentist for a long time, so even by visual inspection alone, there were many areas that needed urgent treatment besides the troublesome area.

Rather than recommending treatment for urgent areas other than the troublesome area, it is a priority to first treat the area causing the patient discomfort.
That is because after first relieving the area that is bothering them right now, there is still time for an accurate diagnosis and consultation.
In this way, I prioritize the patient’s perspective and strive for a quick resolution of discomfort.
That is because I understand better than anyone that patients took the time out of their busy schedules to come see me to resolve discomfort and pain.
I use photo materials to explain things in an easy-to-understand way.
Because of that, I prioritize treatment that is urgently needed right now, and once the pain subsides, I carefully proceed with consultation along with an accurate diagnosis.
Not only that, but I also take quick action on discomfort mentioned during treatment.
In this way, I strive to solve even small discomforts by putting the patient’s comfort first.
- I promise kind and meticulous treatment.
Most people come to the dentist when they are in pain.
Because of that, even a single word can be received more sensitively.
Things that would normally feel fine when you are in your best condition can feel difficult and overwhelming when you are in pain.
That is why I understand the feelings of patients who visit better than anyone.
I also recently went to internal medicine because of the flu, and when I experienced it myself, there was nothing as comforting as having someone empathize with me and respond kindly when I was struggling^^
So, including myself, we put a lot of effort into making sure all staff can respond to patients kindly.

Not only I and the directors, but all staff members attend CS training and make follow-up calls after treatment to check on the patient’s condition.
Treat others as you would treat your own family.

With this mindset, we train all staff to become more empathetic and comforting people, and thankfully all staff members are working with the same mindset as I am^^
In addition, we pursue professional treatment and work hard to provide high-quality care to each and every patient.

We not only operate with a specialist collaborative treatment system, but also hold regular meetings for collaboration and attend various seminars.

Also, the doctors devote their lunch breaks and rest time to practice so they can provide patients with comfortable treatment.
When I see them not settling for their current state and always moving forward to improve, I sometimes think, ‘I really do have great luck when it comes to the people around me..’^^
In this way, not only I but all staff members are making great efforts to provide patients with comfortable treatment with a strong sense of mission.
- I will present a reasonable plan and cost.

If you ask people who are hesitant to visit the dentist why, the burden of cost is often a major reason.
In particular, many people talk about the cost burden of implants.
Honestly, from my perspective as a dentist, the amount is set after calculating material costs and various additional expenses, but it would be a lie to say it is not burdensome ^^;;
Because of this financial burden, many people end up missing the proper timing for treatment.
However, if that happens, it may actually require more money and time.
A large area of inflammation causes alveolar bone loss.
For example, if extraction is needed because of inflammation, a tooth that could have simply ended with implant placement is put on hold and left untreated, the inflammation grows worse, and later bone grafting may also become necessary..
Whenever I see situations like this,
I always feel heartbroken...
So I made up my mind to treat more people for improved oral health by presenting implant prices in a more reasonable way.
In fact, I can’t say this method is not a burden...

But if I bear a little more loss, I believe it will be of great help to many people in escaping financial burden and regaining healthy teeth.
I think this was possible because of my belief that I should become a dentist for the oral health of many people.
That is why, for those who visit our clinic, we recommend only the treatment that is truly necessary based on an accurate diagnosis and present reasonable costs.

As a result, many people end up undergoing full-mouth implant treatment^^
Even for full-mouth implant treatment, some patients tell us they are grateful because the price is not much different from what they had previously heard^^
These experiences are often the driving force that helps me run our clinic even better today^^
I always promise proper diagnosis and consultation from the patient’s perspective.
Today, under the theme of ‘A Letter to Those Who Have Come to Know Dentist Kim Geun-il..,’ I shared my treatment philosophy.
These three things are promises to patients that will never change, no matter how much time passes.
For the patients who always trust our clinic and visit us, I will provide trustworthy treatment with an unchanging heart.
This has been Dentist Kim Geun-il.
Thank you.
