The trend for glamorous outer lines from about 10 years ago seems to have passed somewhat, but for those who prefer striking eyes and feel that in-line or in-out-line styles are a little lacking, the “semi-out” line, which sits between in-out and out, is preferred. Today, while taking a look at this, let’s also learn about semi-out celebrities.

First, a semi-out line refers to a double eyelid line that starts with some distance between the inner corner of the eye and the eyelashes. Compared with an out line, it is thinner, so it is also called a “thin out” line. Therefore, compared with a typical out line, it tends to sit lower, and its height is closer to an in-out line.

Representative celebrities with a semi-out line include Go Min-si, Taeyeon, and Jennie. What they have in common is a look that combines glamour with naturalness that is not overdone.

So what conditions are needed to get a semi-out line? First, because everyone’s eye structure is different, an accurate diagnosis by a doctor is the top priority. People whose semi-out line tends to turn out well usually have thin skin and less skin at the inner corner of the eye. If the epicanthal fold is strong, resistance at the inner corner is greater and forming a semi-out line may be difficult, so in such cases, an inner corner incision or upper corner incision may need to be performed together.

In the case of a thick out line, the impression can seem strong and sleepy, so many people choose to change to a thinner out line. This can be done through a surgery method that creates a new line below while releasing the existing thick double eyelid, preserving the skin. For a semi-out line, the surgical method is applied as either an incision or non-incision double eyelid procedure depending on the thickness of the skin. The non-incision natural adhesion method is possible when the skin is thin and sagging is minimal; otherwise, the incision method is better. However, there are eyes for which a semi-out line is structurally difficult to achieve, so consulting a specialist and receiving a recommendation for the line that suits you best is also an option.
