As we step into the threshold of March, we are observing the Monday substitute holiday. The streets will likely be full of the energy of a long-awaited day off, but today PIAF Clinic has decided to briefly turn off the lights for one day.
In fact, if it were the old me, I might have forced myself to schedule appointments out of a desire to see even one more patient. There was a time when I believed that running without rest was the only proof of sincerity.
But there is something I come to deeply realize as I meet patients in the consultation room every day.
I believe that the field of medicine does not end with simply delivering the skills one has learned. It should be about maintaining the highest level of focus at every moment and carefully observing the subtle differences that vary from patient to patient.
If fatigue of my own is left in my fingertips, I know very well that procedures that prioritize delicate design and safety can never come out of that. That is why I think this time of closing the clinic means more to me and the medical staff than just a simple 'rest.'
To examine things a little more precisely and share even one more warm conversation, I plan to empty my mind fully today. So that your trust in PIAF Clinic and the precious faces you entrust to us are never taken lightly, I will be waiting in the consultation room with even firmer sincerity starting Tuesday, March 3.
I hope that everyone who values PIAF Clinic will also spend today in a peaceful way, carefully taking care of both body and mind.
