If you take a close look around Piaf Clinic, you’ll see small dolls in a purple-and-black color combination placed here and there. When they notice this, patients sometimes ask with a slightly puzzled smile.
"Director, do you happen to like Kuromi?" Every time that happens, I usually nod a little shyly and answer yes.
Actually, at first, I only thought the character was a little cute and brought home one or two items. That’s because my children quite like Sanrio Characters.

But as time went by, the scenery on my desk gradually started to fill up with Kuromi.

At first it was just one pen, but now I’ve collected quite a few small and large items, from dolls to figures.

Um... to be honest, if I’m going to be completely honest, I like it so much now that words like "a little" or "quite a bit" are no longer enough.
The number of Kuromi items around me keeps increasing, and now even the medical staff seem to naturally bring Kuromi over to me whenever they see it.
Because being a doctor always requires calm judgment and extreme concentration during surgery, I admit that this kind of relaxed, small hobby is a great comfort to me.
Rather than living stiffly and always acting like a "doctor cosplay," I want to be someone who can find a sense of ease in these small pleasures. I suppose people might think such a doctor would listen to patients’ worries with a warmer heart, wouldn’t they?
Of course, please just believe that liking cute items does not mean I take treatment lightly.
As Kuromi continues to increase, I hope the smiles of those who visit my clinic will increase as well. And if you happen to see new Kuromi goods when you come in for a consultation, please feel free to say hello to them warmly. I will also share your concerns with you in a more comfortable and honest way.
You worked hard today as well. I hope everyone has a pleasant night.
Sincerely,
Director Lim Jin-young of Piaf Clinic.
