It seems it started last December.
Throughout that especially cold winter, our Piap Clinic was incredibly busy. We were very grateful to see more and more people coming in for eye surgery and skin procedures for facial rejuvenation, and it wasn’t easy for me or for our staff to manage meals on time.
Whenever we found a bit of time, we would quickly fill our stomachs with burgers bought nearby, or when even that wasn’t possible, we would make do with a sandwich and a glass of soy milk for lunch while keeping up with our packed schedule.
For all practical purposes, I think my main staple food for three months was Burger King burgers. Even then, it didn’t feel like I was leisurely chewing a burger so much as forcing it down my esophagus.
Then March arrived and the temperature slowly began to rise, bringing a brief moment of breathing room to the clinic. In fact, this is the time when demand for cosmetic surgery and anti-aging procedures tends to ease up a bit, right as spring turns into summer.
Of course, while a more relaxed appointment schedule leaves me feeling a little uneasy, this long-awaited breathing room isn’t bad at all.

I enjoyed a delicious assortment of boiled sliced meat and soondae soup at Baekam Sundae near Jamsil Saenae Station.
Today, for the first time in a long while, I sat face-to-face with the staff at Piap Clinic and shared a warm meal.
As we talked about the things we hadn’t been able to say while sitting in front of steaming food, I felt both sorry and grateful seeing the faces of our teachers who had quietly worked so hard. When I told them thank you for holding on, their bright smiles gave me energy in return. I wanted to treat them to something more expensive and better for lunch, but with afternoon appointments, this was the best I could do in terms of treating them to meat, which is a little disappointing.
This March, I plan to take it a little easier, move a bit more slowly, and recharge my energy. That way, when April arrives, I’ll be able to welcome you with a clearer mind and more delicate hands.
As I thought about how to express my gratitude to the many people who trusted us and visited us over this time, I am preparing a “very good value program” to be introduced in April.
For your information,
Piap Clinic’s cherry blossom event
is held only once a year.
Rather than blindly following trends, we are designing it with our own character so that you can find the skin’s natural health and beauty. Though I may not have flashy words, I will always remain at my post quietly, continuing to study and grow as a doctor.
After taking a moment to catch my breath, I’ll be waiting for you in the consultation room with even stronger sincerity. On these warm spring days, I sincerely hope your everyday life will also be filled with pleasant warmth.
