For those who have too little natural hair or are experiencing hair loss,
when problems appear, they begin to think about how to respond
and look for ways to improve the situation. That often leads them to
turn their attention to a procedure that transfers and implants natural hair.
Through surgery, you can expect a fuller look with natural hair,
and because it can help ease concerns and encourage improvement,
it has recently been considered a preferred treatment method
for people with hair loss.

Perhaps because so many people receive the procedure,
there seem to be many questions as well. So today, in the hope that
all of your concerns will be resolved, we would like to share a
Summer Hair Transplant FAQ.
If you are preparing for a hair transplant or have just had one,
you may be wondering how to manage it in this hot weather,
and whether the high temperatures might cause harmful effects
or lead to various secondary problems.
In fact, we receive many inquiries like this at our clinic,
so today we have prepared this content as a Summer Hair Transplant FAQ.

Q1. I want to have the surgery during summer vacation.
Is it okay if I sweat?
It is not a problem. Sweating is a completely natural physiological
phenomenon and does not affect the treated area. More concerning
than sweating is probably whether washing will be okay.
In fact, people may sweat and wash even right after surgery,
so you do not need to worry about sweating.

Q2. Can I go into the water after surgery?
If you are planning a vacation or you wash your hair often,
you may wonder whether water can touch the area after surgery.
We do not recommend going into water before recovery has progressed.
However, if the wound on the treated area has healed to some extent
and the scabs have fallen off, then it is generally considered okay
for water to touch it, to the point that even submerging in water
would be described as not a problem.

Q3. Can I wash my hair starting the day after surgery?
Yes, you can wash your hair. Water may touch the area where the
procedure was performed, but during washing, you may end up rubbing
with your hands. At that time, excessive pressure can be irritating,
so you should gently rub using your fingertips. Water falling from a
shower that is not too strong in pressure is not considered a problem.
What is even more important here is that you dry your hair quickly
after shampooing.

Q4. Since the weather is hot, can I still have surgery?
We consider surgery to be unrelated to the season. There are
occasional claims that you cannot do it, but that is incorrect
information. We can say that the idea that surgery should not be
performed because the weather is hot is mistaken.

Q5. Is there no relationship between graft survival rate and the weather?
Whether it is a cold season or a hot summer, graft survival rate is
not affected by the weather, so it can be seen as having nothing to do
with hair transplantation.

Q6. Can I be exposed to ultraviolet rays after a hair transplant?
It is best to avoid them as much as possible. When going outside,
it is a good idea to wear a hat whenever possible so that strong
sunlight does not shine directly on your scalp. Sweating is okay,
but ultraviolet rays can have unfavorable effects, so you should avoid them.

Q7. Is recovery faster in summer than in winter? (Metabolism)
There are occasional claims that recovery is faster in winter than in
summer because metabolism is more active in winter, but we can say
that this is not true. Recovery speed is not related to the season
and may vary from person to person, so everyone can be considered
equal in this regard.

Q8. Won’t inflammation develop in the donor area? (Folliculitis, etc.)
Because of the hot weather, some people worry that inflammation may
develop more easily. In fact, it is better to worry about irritation
caused by sweat flowing or by contact with contaminated substances.
There are certainly more chances for that in summer because there is
more sweating, but these days air-conditioning facilities are so good
that it is judged that you do not need to worry too much.

Today, we looked at the Summer Hair Transplant FAQ with Momo.
We hope this was helpful for those who are preparing for the procedure
or planning to have it done.
