Hello, this is Obje Plastic Surgery.

Today, I’d like to talk about something that many of you may have wondered about at least once when visiting a plastic surgery clinic.
If BTS came to a hospital, would there be special treatment or VIP treatment?
Surprisingly, I think many people are curious about this.

First, let me share a past experience of mine.
When I was an intern in the emergency room, a famous celebrity once visited the hospital.
A newborn baby had a small cut on the lip, and the celebrity caused a scene at the hospital, saying,
"My son is in an emergency."
"If you don’t stitch it up quickly, something terrible will happen."
From the celebrity’s perspective, there was a sense of privilege that they were VIP.
But when the emergency medicine doctor looked at it, it was a condition that only needed ointment.
So the emergency medicine doctor told the celebrity firmly:
No matter what movie you appeared in, what award you received, or how famous an actor you are, to us you are just a patient like everyone else.
Then he said, "Please apply ointment quickly and go home."

Plastic surgery is the same.
There is no such thing as special treatment for celebrities as VIPs.
Everyone who visits Obje Plastic Surgery receives the same treatment, whether they are coming for surgery or just to get filler or Botox.
Everyone who comes to Obje is a VIP, a Very Important Person.
Does any hospital actually provide VIP treatment?
When I used to work at one hospital, there was another hospital across the street that saw many international patients.
There were even many visits from state-level guests.
In those cases, I once saw them provide quite a formal reception with a great deal of protocol, and the office managers all came out to give very attentive treatment.
But I think all of that is ultimately meaningless.
Taking good care of patients is important, but isn’t the most important thing the result of the surgery?

Have you ever actually experienced this, doctor?
Chinese patients, in particular, often become suspicious if the surgery cost is quoted too cheaply.
They may think, "Is this person giving me a discount?" and sometimes even propose three times the appropriate fee themselves.
In other words, they say, "I’ll pay three times as much, so please do a better job."
Because some people become suspicious when something is too cheap, in actual hospital marketing, setting prices too low can sometimes make people not come.
And more than anything, if you pay too much attention to VIPs, it is not good for the doctor either.

Have you ever heard of VIP syndrome?
VIP syndrome means that if you pay extra attention as if someone were a VIP, the surgery may actually go worse.
That’s because you are supposed to follow the routine you trained for and used when performing surgery, but if you become too preoccupied, an adverse effect can occur where the outcome becomes worse than usual.
Among doctors, there is also a saying: "You should not operate on family."
That is exactly because of VIP syndrome.
Because you want to do even better for your own family, who is more precious than anyone else, there are many cases where the outcome ends up worse.
In other words, even if someone is a celebrity, they are treated the same as any other patient.
However, if there is a special request or a need for certain care, we may pay extra attention as a matter of consideration.

With the changes of today’s era, celebrities can no longer be seen as customers who are far superior VIPs, and of course no separate special treatment is provided.
Obje Plastic Surgery regards each and every patient as a precious VIP and does its utmost in treatment, so you do not need to worry about being treated differently.
