Causes of Lip Blisters and
Prevention Methods and Precautions

For people who often lick their lips, the saliva evaporates,
which makes the lips dry. If you have a habit of picking at
your lips, there is a high possibility of bacterial infection.
Also, when fatigue builds up or when you are under severe
stress, lip blisters may occur, and herpes
infection can be suspected.
Today, I will share various information about the causes of
lip blisters, related conditions, symptoms,
treatment methods, prevention methods, and precautions.

In the case of lip blisters, they are generally caused by herpes
symptoms that occur when immunity is lowered
or due to a simple herpes infection.
Herpes can be divided into types 1 and 2,
and type 1 causes blisters around the lips, face, and eyes, while type 2
causes lesions near the genitals and anus.
The herpes virus usually stays hidden in sensory nerves, then
emerges when stimulated by severe fatigue, ultraviolet rays, stress, and similar factors.

Unlike type 1, which causes blisters around the mouth, lips, and oral mucosa,
type 2 is classified as a kind of sexually transmitted disease,
and blisters appear on the external genital area.
In addition, fever and muscle pain may accompany it, and even with slight
movement you may easily feel fatigue and weakness, and swollen lymph nodes
may occur.
If the blisters are caused by cheilitis, the area around the lips may also
turn red, and along with flaking, burning and discharge from the
burst area of the blister may occur.

In general, when lip blisters appear, the lesion area
may itch or burn, and after the blister bursts,
a scab forms and then disappears after some time.
Since this discharge can easily spread if it comes into contact with another person's mucous membrane, caution is needed, and if the proper
preparation is applied at this stage, the lesion will be removed quickly.
If the lesion has just started to appear, apply acyclovir;
if the condition is already progressing, apply tirotricin consistently.

Herpes currently has no clear treatment method,
and because it is a disease that cannot completely eliminate the virus,
prevention in everyday life is important.
Once it occurs, it tends to appear when immunity is lowered due to severe stress, overwork,
fatigue, colds, and other causes, when the body
is not in good condition, so caution is needed.
Also, there are times when people pop the blisters or peel off the skin because they do not want to see them, but this should be avoided because it can increase the number of blisters
or cause them to spread over a wider area.

If symptoms appear, rather than using any moisturizer,
it is better to apply the proper management
method that suits your symptoms.
If flaking is present and uncomfortable, use nail clippers or similar tools
to trim it short, then apply a moisturizing cream
such as a moisture cream thickly around the lips.
In addition, getting enough hydration in everyday life or turning on a humidifier
frequently to control the humidity of your living environment can help,
and please be careful not to let your immunity decline.
