Today, I’d like to have a very practical conversation about ‘skin aging.’
When does skin aging begin?
Many people think it starts in their 40s,
but in fact, it begins in the late 20s.

Hormones, growth factors, collagen, and everything else in our bodies
begin to gradually decline from around age 27.
What becomes visible is around the 30s.
One day, when you look in the mirror,
you may suddenly think,
Why do I look so tired?
Why does my face seem to have aged so suddenly?
That is the moment when you really start to feel the beginning of skin aging.

In particular, ages 34, 60, and 78
were identified in a Stanford study as points when skin-aging protein levels
drop sharply.

But some people
still look like they’re in their 40s even in their 60s.
Why is that?
The answer is genetics.
Skin is also something you are born with.
But most of us didn’t win the genetic lottery,
so we have to rely on ‘care’ to make the difference.

The 3 steps I think are essential for preventing skin aging
are very simple.

Sunlight breaks down collagen.
