Hello.
Today, this is Ogana’s Ogana again.

Following my last first-class review,
this time I’d like to introduce some local favorite restaurants
I visited in New York.
If you click the photo, it will take you to Threads^^
I posted a New York restaurant recommendation on Threads,
and the response was much more intense than I expected. lol
A lot of people already knew these places, so there were quite a few comments too.
La Tête d’Or by Daniel
French steak house / 12-minute walk from Times Square

The first restaurant
is a French-style steak house.
Since it’s run by a Michelin chef,
I visited with high expectations.
Seafood platter photo
The seafood platter included
shrimp
lobster
mussels
oysters
The oysters were especially impressive.
I’d heard that East Coast and West Coast oysters in the U.S.
differ in shape, texture, and acidity,
and after tasting them myself, I could definitely feel the difference.
They paired well with champagne too,
to the point that I thought I absolutely need to eat oysters
every time I come to New York.
Main dish: T-bone steak
New York has plenty of famous steak houses,
such as Peter Luger and Wolfgang’s.
This time, I wanted to try something with a slightly different style,
so I chose this place.
Overall = not bad
The first two or three bites were really delicious,
but it also made me think once again
that a well-grilled short rib or Korean beef sirloin is even better.
My Pie Pizzeria Romana
Crispy Roman-style pizza / 20-minute walk from Times Square

Pizza is treated almost like a given in New York.
This place is famous for Roman-style pizza,
and I was satisfied with the texture,
which had both crispiness and moisture.
Pesto pizza and truffle oil mushroom pizza
I thought we had only ordered two kinds,
but each one came as two slices, so the amount was much larger.
So we just tasted one slice each,
and packed the rest to enjoy as a late-night snack back at the hotel.
Au Cheval
The best burger I had in New York / about 2 km away

The third place was
the most impressive restaurant on this trip.
I ordered the “Double Cheeseburger.”
I highly recommend adding bacon + a soft-boiled egg.
The brioche bun disappears in your mouth like cotton candy,
and the two homemade bacon strips and medium-rare patties,
along with the cheddar cheese melting between the patties,
smoothly complete the overall balance.
If it didn’t make me gain weight, I’d want to eat it every day..
It was truly a life-changing burger with nothing more to say.
Wrapping up the New York trip..

New York was such a fascinating city.
The sky was clear, but it also rained,
and then suddenly poured down like a squall.
I ate so many delicious meals,
and I was also able to fully feel
the atmosphere of the hotel and the city.
And at the end, this thought came to me.
A country bumpkin born in Ulsan
coming all the way to New York and having this kind of experience..
I need to work even harder.
I want to visit good places more often, have better experiences,
and reflect those experiences more deeply
in my business, my practice, and my content.
Thank you for reading this long post.
