Hello, this is VN Plastic Surgery^^
As the weather gets colder and you’re exposed to chilly winds, some of you may be experiencing skin concerns such as redness and dryness.
In particular, maintaining healthy skin is becoming more difficult because of indoor heating.

So today, we’d like to share a few tips for winter moisturizing care!
- Apply moisturizer

In winter, sebum production decreases and moisture becomes insufficient, making it easier for dead skin cells to build up.
After showering and patting off the water, applying moisturizer before the moisture evaporates can help prevent dryness and dead skin buildup.
- Keep showers and face washing short

Taking long showers with hot water can cause dryness and itching, and in severe cases, eczema may develop.
The skin has an oily barrier that helps prevent moisture loss.
However, showering with hot water removes this oily barrier, allowing moisture to escape and causing dryness and dead skin buildup.
Showering and washing your face with warm water that is not too hot for less than 10 minutes is ideal.
- Drink enough water

In winter, people tend to sweat less than in summer, so they also drink water less often than in summer.
In fact, winter increases the tendency toward dehydration because of heating devices and low humidity, which means your body adapts to the environment and you may not feel thirsty. It is best to make sure you drink enough fluids. Even if it is not plain water, you can still hydrate with warm tea instead of cold water.
