for a patient who was concerned about

crooked teeth and an underbite.

The patient

had a Class III malocclusion

and an underbite.

This patient wanted non-extraction treatment,

but the dental arch was significantly narrower than the tooth size,

so a palatal expansion device was needed. T^T

The first treatment was carried out with 50 ClinCheck aligners.

As the arch was gradually expanded,

2nd Clincheck (33)

In the second ClinCheck,

33 aligners were used,

and the attachment positions and shapes were changed and reattached.

After finishing the second ClinCheck,

it felt clearly more organized, almost as if the orthodontic treatment had already been completed.

To further fine-tune the bite in detail,

we proceeded with a third ClinCheck.

3nd Clincheck (16)

Total orthodontic treatment period 22/3~24/10

Finally,

we completed the third ClinCheck

with 16 aligners.

The midline was corrected,

and not only did the teeth become neatly aligned,

but both the front teeth and molars that had had an underbite

returned to their proper positions and established the correct bite relationship!

When smiling, the overall impression is much more refined and organized than before.^^

Without a palatal expansion device that requires orthodontic screws to be placed in the palate,

with Invisalign, which has its own arch expansion function,

we improved the crooked teeth that had been troubling the patient

and resolved the difficult malocclusion,

so both the patient and our team were happy to bring the treatment to a close! :)

How many times do ClinChecks need to be done?

Depending on the patient’s bite condition, alignment, and position,

the number of ClinChecks and the number of Invisalign aligners may vary!

Depending on the difficulty of the orthodontic case,

Invisalign types are divided,

and the number of ClinChecks and prescriptions also differ for each patient. :)

Because the patient’s malocclusion was relatively severe,

treatment was carried out through a total of three ClinChecks

with the Comprehensive option,

which is applied when a larger number of Invisalign aligners is needed.
