Today, I’d like to introduce the case of a patient who visited us at the above address^^

What are buck teeth?

It is a shape in which the teeth appear tilted inward,

and because the teeth look as if they are curled inward, it is also called a “protruded-mouth” appearance,

which can also lead to an overbite.

The patient underwent Invisalign treatment after shortening the treatment period using an orthodontic appliance called the “Carriere Motion Appliance.”

Using the Carriere orthodontic appliance,

we first create a Class I normal occlusion for the posterior molar and canine relationships,

then continue with orthodontic treatment,

which can shorten the Invisalign treatment period.

Rather than moving the teeth one by one,

the upper dental arch is moved toward the molar side all at once,

which causes less discomfort in the mouth and does not greatly interfere with daily life,

and the simple design makes it less noticeable, so it is aesthetically pleasing.

Carriere orthodontic appliance

This appliance is used at the beginning of orthodontic treatment.

Once the posterior occlusion relationship is sufficiently established,

Invisalign is started to improve the alignment of the remaining teeth.

(It is not an essential appliance for Invisalign! Depending on the patient’s malocclusion, the appliance may not be necessary.)

In fact, Invisalign alone can also improve posterior occlusion,

but since it has the advantage of shortening the Invisalign wear period,

it can be a treatment option :)

1st Clincheck (27 aligners)

After improving the molar occlusion with the Carriere appliance,

we proceeded with the Invisalign ClinCheck.

One of Invisalign’s biggest advantages is that you can predict the final result^^

allows us to check during treatment whether the teeth are moving according to plan,

and it can also be used to determine

whether the treatment process should be advanced faster or

slowed down further.

with 27 aligners.

Using the space created after the Carriere appliance,

we improved the dental alignment.

Even with just the first ClinCheck, the treatment was completed with a high level of refinement :)

2nd Clincheck (33 aligners)

In the first ClinCheck,

the dental alignment had been improved to some extent,

but in the second ClinCheck,

we supplemented the previous ClinCheck to increase the overall quality of the orthodontic treatment.

We additionally attached attachments to the front teeth

to complement the first ClinCheck and finished with 33 aligners.

What are attachments?

These are devices that can control tooth rotation, movement, height, and angle.

By bonding resin to the teeth,

they help guide tooth movement into the desired position correctly,

and they are an essential element in Invisalign.

3rd Clincheck (20 aligners)

Finally, through the third ClinCheck,

we carefully finished the occlusion and alignment.

From the patient’s initial clinical condition to the final occlusion,

Invisalign can simulate every stage of treatment

and control even the smallest tooth movements in 3D,

so the teeth found their correct positions and finished with a normal occlusion.
