Recently, among the patients visiting our clinic, there have been many who come in worried about gaps between their teeth.

In particular, many middle-aged patients ask,

When teeth spread apart, food gets stuck in the space a lot... and speech can leak out, which is uncomfortable.

Especially when a space forms between the front teeth, it looks less aesthetically pleasing, so many people feel distressed.

Some people have had a lot of space since they were young because of tooth loss or a lack of teeth,

but as people get older, gaps between teeth occur more often.

This is due to "aging"!!!

As we age, the jawbone becomes weaker...

The gums also recede, and gaps between teeth often form.

In addition, teeth move slightly over time.

Changes in biting force or natural tooth movement can create spaces!

When there is spacing, it is a very favorable condition for laminates!

You don’t need to remove much tooth structure... laminates are possible~~

Because this is not about addressing protruding teeth or reducing tooth size,

it is simply about filling the spaces with laminates!!

There was also spacing in the lower front teeth...

Fortunately, when the patient smiled or talked, the lower front teeth were covered by the lips and not very visible~

We first proceeded with laminates on the upper teeth only, then checked the result,

and told the patient to consider doing the lower teeth later if they became bothersome~~

This shows the state after minimal reduction so that the laminate can stay attached.

Compared with the initial condition, very little reduction was done!!!

If you look at the arrows, there isn’t much difference.

This is what the mouth looks like after attachment.

Since the gaps between the front teeth were filled, the alignment looks neater as well,

and the aesthetic change was so significant that the patient was very satisfied and said it looked beautiful!!

The amount of existing tooth reduction was not large,

and the appearance after laminate placement is not overly enlarged and looks natural~??
