Since it sounds like a small screw is being placed into the bone, many people worry about it.

Because the procedure is done after anesthesia, the procedure itself is not painful.

The procedure time is also very short.

It is only a little stingy when the anesthetic injection is given, as when a tooth is extracted for cavity treatment or orthodontic reasons.

When the screw is inserted, you may feel little to nothing, or only a feeling of pressure.

However, to reduce pain on the day of the procedure, it is better to eat soft foods that are not harsh on the gums rather than spicy or hard foods.

Worried about screw pain, do I really have to get it?

Many people say they want to avoid it as much as possible.

Not all orthodontic treatments require screws, but they are very effective for difficult tooth movement, adjusting the balance between the upper and lower teeth, and shortening treatment time.

The screw procedure is not as scary as its name sounds.

Rather, it can be a useful tool that improves the quality of orthodontic treatment and shortens treatment time, so I hope you won’t be too frightened by it.
