There are broadly two reasons for white spots to appear.

1. White spots caused by tooth demineralization

Our teeth are covered with a hard protective layer called enamel. In simple terms, think of it as armor for the teeth.

However, if you frequently drink carbonated beverages or eat acidic foods, minerals in the enamel are lost,

and that area can appear as a white, discolored spot.

This process is called “demineralization.”

In other words, it is a sign that the tooth is becoming weaker.
