Hello.
I am the director of Seoul Bardi Dental Clinic.
Because the front teeth are a part that others can see right away,
aesthetic completeness is more important than anything else.
Even a tiny 1 mm difference
can make the overall impression look awkward.
So naturally, patients tend to pay
a lot of attention to aesthetics.
That is why today I would like to explain
why an in-house dental lab is essential,
especially for front tooth prosthetics,
and why it matters so much.
In-house dental lab,
what benefits does it offer patients?
Do You Know the Importance of an In-House Dental Lab for Front Tooth Implants?
Having a dental lab inside the clinic
is more than just being physically close.
It is a major factor that determines
the quality of treatment.
- It reduces time and inconvenience.
If a prosthesis is sent to an outside lab,
it usually takes about 1 to 2 weeks to wait.

But if there is an in-house lab, the prosthesis can be completed
as quickly as the same day or the next day.
In a busy daily routine, going back and forth to the clinic
multiple times is not easy, is it?
By simply reducing the number of clinic visits,
we can greatly lessen the burden of treatment
for patients.
- Close communication between the doctor and the technician is possible.
I can directly communicate the patient’s oral condition
and even very detailed requests to the technician.
Slightly adjusting the shade to be a bit brighter,
or making the shape look more natural,
can all be done in real time.

Especially in aesthetic treatments where small differences matter,
such as front tooth crowns or veneers,
this kind of communication can make a noticeable difference in the final result.
- Adjustments can be made on the spot.
If you try in the prosthesis and do not like
the shape,..
what should be done?
In a typical clinic, it would need to be sent out again,
and you would have to wait several more days,..

If there is an in-house lab, adjustments can be completed immediately
while the patient is still in the treatment room.
The biggest advantage is being able to check the result
the same day without waiting.
A patient case that came in with front tooth mobility
Do You Know the Importance of an In-House Dental Lab for Front Tooth Implants?
Let me explain more easily through the case of a patient
who recently visited us because of front tooth mobility.

240615
At the time of the visit, the right front tooth (#12)
was severely mobile,
and the central front tooth right next to it (#11)
was also affected because the jawbone had receded significantly.

240612
CT analysis showed inflammation at the root tip of the central front tooth (#11),
but
the patient wanted to use their own tooth as much as possible,
so
for now, we extracted only the right front tooth (#12),
which had severe mobility, and proceeded with an implant.

A few days after completing the right front tooth (#12) implant...

251022
The patient returned saying that the central front tooth (#11)
kept swelling and then going down again.

251125
Looking closely, there were signs that pus had drained.
The mobility had also worsened compared to before.
The inflammation at the root tip had also become more severe...

251125
Unfortunately, we decided to extract this tooth as well
and rebuild it with an implant.

Why is an in-house dental lab
advantageous for front tooth implants?
Do You Know the Importance of an In-House Dental Lab for Front Tooth Implants?
The most important thing in front tooth implants is
how naturally the shape and alignment blend
with the existing teeth.
The previously treated right front tooth (#12)
and the newly placed central front tooth (#11)
were made into a prosthesis so that they would harmonize naturally.
But when the prosthesis was tried in,
the patient said the teeth looked a little short.

260312
In fact, tooth length is such a sensitive factor
that even a 0.5 mm difference can affect a person’s impression,
so the shape and length of a tooth are relative areas
that are greatly influenced by the neighboring teeth.
Because the previously implanted right front tooth
was slightly longer,
the central front tooth appeared relatively short.

In a typical dental clinic, this kind of situation would mean
being told to take a new impression and come back in a week.
The patient would have to wear the uncomfortable temporary tooth again
and spend another week worrying.
But our clinic, which has an in-house lab,
works very differently.
The process of identifying a 0.1 mm difference
At times like this, if you simply file down the longer tooth,
the canine next to it may become more prominent.
So we decided to slightly extend the length
of the tip of the central front tooth.

It was only a very small change of about 1 mm,
but this subtle difference has a big impact
on the satisfaction the patient feels.
After adjusting the length of the central front tooth
to harmonize with the adjacent teeth,

we also softened the angular part of the right front tooth (#12)
a little more to complete the overall alignment.

260312
When you hear 1 mm, it may feel like a very small difference,
..
but with front teeth that are immediately visible,
it can become a decisive factor that affects the overall impression.
We do not overlook even a single detail like this,
and
we put our full care into every moment to create prostheses
that patients can feel fully satisfied with.

260312
If you are concerned about front tooth problems...
We will think through even the smallest 0.1 mm difference with you,
so
please do not hesitate any longer
and feel free to come in for a consultation.
Thank you.^^
