Hello.
I am the director of Seoul Bardi Dental Clinic.
"If I get an implant,
I'm worried the cost will be too high..."
In fact, one reason people hesitate to visit the dentist is
not so much pain, but concern about the 'treatment costs that are hard to afford.'
Especially when front teeth start to loosen one after another,
people begin to worry endlessly,
thinking, 'What if I have to pull them all and get implants?'
So today, I’d like to honestly talk about the somewhat sensitive topic of cost.
I’ll explain in detail through a real case how to prevent unnecessary expenses
and restore teeth at the most reasonable cost.^^
Why do lower front tooth implants tend to cost more?
The Secret to Reducing Lower Front Tooth Implant Costs in Godeok-dong, Revealed.
The inner side of the lower front teeth is an area where tartar tends to build up very easily in our mouths.

The reason is the 'salivary glands' located under the tongue.
When saliva mixes with food debris,
it quickly turns into hard stone-like tartar.
In addition, the inner side of the lower front teeth is structurally
very difficult to brush thoroughly.
As a result, if scaling is repeatedly put off,
tartar thickens like a blanket
and causes severe gum inflammation.

The biggest problem is the 'chain reaction.'
As tartar spreads, it also melts away the surrounding jawbone of neighboring teeth,
so more than one tooth becomes loose at the same time.
In the end, several teeth may need to be extracted all at once,
which increases the number of implants needed
and inevitably raises the cost burden.

Also, the jawbone around the lower front teeth
is one of the thinnest areas in our mouths.
Even a small amount of bone loss can leave insufficient space
for implant placement,
which can lead to additional bone grafting costs
and cause the total cost to keep increasing.
Lower front tooth implant costs: This is how we reduced them.
The Secret to Reducing Lower Front Tooth Implant Costs in Godeok-dong, Revealed.
This is a case of a patient who recently visited our clinic.
They came in because the lower front teeth were severely loose.

When we examined the mouth, thick tartar had built up in layers
on the lower front teeth.

"I avoided scaling for a long time because it seemed
like my teeth became sensitive afterward..."
Many people avoid treatment because of the 'sensitivity' they feel after scaling.
But the reason teeth feel sensitive is not because the teeth were worn down,
but because the exposed roots react to temperature once the 'thick tartar blanket' covering the teeth is removed.
In the end, the tartar in this patient had destroyed so much of the jawbone
that,
on the radiograph, only the root tips were barely resting on the bone.

Because the loosening was so severe
that it was difficult to save the teeth,
the decision was ultimately made to extract the two lower front teeth (#31, 41)
and proceed with implants.
"Do both extracted teeth need implants?
I'm worried the cost will be too high..."
When patients are suddenly told they need extractions,
most of them worry most about the cost.
I fully understand how burdensome that feels.
So instead of insisting on placing two implants no matter what,
I explained the most efficient alternative.
Fortunately, the lower front teeth receive less force
than molars.
So if the condition of the jawbone is acceptable,
we can place only one implant root (fixture)
and make two connected crowns on top of it.

This way, compared with placing two implants,
we can reduce the cost burden
while still allowing the teeth to be used sufficiently strongly.^^
Treatment process

Because the bone had become significantly weakened by tartar,
we performed bone grafting and implant placement on the day of extraction.

The front teeth are visible,
so you’re usually most worried right after surgery, right?
Don’t worry~
To make sure there is no discomfort after removing the tooth,
we make a 'mini temporary denture (flipper),'

Thanks to that, even on the day of surgery,
the patient was able to go home comfortably without worrying about the gap left by the missing teeth.^^
Three months after placement,
we confirmed that the bone and implant had firmly integrated
and took impressions with a digital intraoral scanner.
Instead of biting on a rubber mold,
the mouth is scanned precisely by computer,
so this is a process patients find very comfortable.
Treatment result

This is the final completed result.
There is only one root,
but two prosthetic crowns were placed.

It doesn’t look awkward at all,
does it blend naturally with the surrounding teeth?
It was also symmetrical with the length of the neighboring teeth,
so it was completed with great aesthetic satisfaction.

I’ve introduced methods to reduce implant costs,
but in fact, the surest way to save money is
'not to end up needing implants in the first place,' which everyone probably knows~
For that, it’s important to make sure you use the annual
'scaling benefit' provided by the government.
If you don’t use it this year, it simply disappears,
so it would be such a waste not to use it~
It’s the smartest and most reliable way to protect your precious teeth
with a small amount of money.
Are you reading this because your lower front teeth are already very loose
and you’re worried?
Then please don’t worry too much and come visit us.
Rather than recommending implants no matter what,
we will work with you to find an honest alternative that is
both the most economical in your situation
and strong enough to last a long time.
