Why should you get scaling before this year ends?

1. Among health insurance benefits, the once-a-year insured scaling is available only once per year

If you are a Korean national aged 19 or older with national health insurance, you can receive insurance coverage for scaling once a year.

The minimum standard set by the government is once per year, so in fact there may be people who need it more often than that.

At a minimum, please make sure to get scaling once a year!

This once-a-year insured scaling is reset based on January 1 every year, so if you do not receive it this year, it will not carry over to next year.

2. It is a time when gums become weaker due to year-end stress and overeating.

At the end of the year, when there are many drinking gatherings, late-night meals, and social events, tartar and bacteria will build up faster than usual.

If left as is, it can develop into periodontitis, causing the gums to swell and bleed.

Scaling is the first step in gum treatment and the very first step in preventing gum disease.

3. Complete a clean first impression before year-end parties and New Year events

If teeth with tartar are visible, it will really leave a bad impression.

Before year-end gatherings, remove tartar, that is, get scaling, to manage a clean impression.

As the year comes to an end, many people get health checkups or check their physical condition. However, dental and gum health is one of the areas that is easy to overlook. In particular, it is important to remember that scaling is not just a procedure that makes teeth clean, but an essential part of preventing gum disease and maintaining oral health. At the end of the year, it is a good idea to remove the tartar and bacteria that have built up over the year with scaling.

Adults aged 19 or older who have Korean national health insurance can receive scaling with insurance coverage once a year.

The insurance coverage period runs from January 1 to December 31, and it applies once within that year.

If you have not yet had scaling this year, it is a good idea to visit a nearby dental clinic before the year ends.

Because health insurance applies, treatment can be received without a large financial burden.

Once a year is the minimum standard set by the government, and for those who are diagnosed as needing periodontal scaling because their gums are in poor condition, periodontal scaling is not limited to once a year; insurance-covered periodontal scaling may also be available every 6 months, so please keep this in mind.

If the hospital where you had your health screening did not have a dental department, so you could not receive the oral checkup, it is a good idea to get the oral checkup as well.

However, please check carefully because some dental clinics have separate designated oral checkup status, and the national insurance oral checkup may not be available there.
