Just one shoulder line
can change the entire silhouette
Hello.
I’m Beauty’s Doctor, We Young-jin.
At Hongdae Station Dermatology,
many people have questions about shoulder filler,
so I organized everything one by one myself.
"How is anesthesia done?"
"Will the touch feel strange?"
"Can I do it together with trapezius Botox?"
I get these questions very often.
I’ll answer them honestly one by one.
✅ 1. How is anesthesia done?

At Hongdae Station Dermatology,
injection-point anesthesia is performed
around the area where you want the filler injected.
Cream anesthesia is not effective on the shoulder area,
so we use injectable anesthesia.
The pain from the anesthesia itself is almost negligible,
so there is no need to worry.
✅ 2. How long does the procedure take?

Excluding consultation,
it takes about 10 to 20 minutes
from the start of the procedure to the end.
It’s a duration you can receive without 부담 없이 받으실 수 있는 시간이에요.
✅ 3. Is it effective for rounded shoulders?

First, it’s important to determine
the cause of the rounded shoulders.
Whether it’s due to posture,
or to a genetically shaped shoulder,
the approach will differ.
If the shoulders are genetically rounded,
the line can be improved by filling in the back of the shoulder.
By adding volume with filler,
we approach it by naturally correcting
the silhouette that looks rounded.
✅ 4. Will the texture feel strange after the procedure?

At first, when you touch it,
there may be slight tenderness.
But as time passes,
it becomes more natural.
There is almost no unnatural feeling to the touch.
However, if a large volume is used,
it may feel slightly different to the touch.
During consultation, we adjust this as naturally as possible
through volume planning.
✅ 5. Can it be done together with trapezius Botox?
Does the order matter?

The order does not matter at all.
If you have enough time,
I recommend doing trapezius Botox first
and then, one month later, visiting Hongdae Station Dermatology
to define the line with shoulder filler.
This is because once the trapezius is reduced,
we can create the line more accurately.
But even if you do both together at once,
there is no major issue.
✅ 6. Can men also receive shoulder filler?

Of course.
For men, we proceed in a way that highlights the shape of the deltoid muscle,
creating volume and dimensionality in the shoulders.
The key is not to overdo it.
If too much volume is added,
it will look awkward and obvious.
A level that naturally enhances the muscle line
has the highest satisfaction.
✅ 7. Can shoulder filler be dissolved?

Yes, it can be dissolved at any time.
Because the filler is hyaluronic acid-based,
it can be broken down using hyaluronidase.
If the result is unsatisfactory
or corrections are needed,
one of the major advantages of shoulder filler is that it can be adjusted at any time
at Hongdae Station Dermatology.
✅ 8. Why do uneven results occur?

There are two cases.
One is when the shoulders themselves are originally asymmetrical,
and the asymmetry becomes more noticeable
as filler is added,
and the other is an issue of procedural completion.
It’s hard to say it is definitely just one thing,
but at Hongdae Station Dermatology, before the procedure,
we first accurately identify the asymmetry of both shoulders
and designing accordingly
is the key to preventing uneven results.
✅ 9. When should retouching be done, and how many times is recommended?

After the skin has adapted to the filler to some extent,
additional treatment is more effective.
If you get 1 to 2 retouch sessions
at Hongdae Station Dermatology after 1 to 2 months,
the result becomes much better.
After the first procedure, the skin stretches and settles,
and if you do a retouch after that,
it becomes possible to define the desired line more precisely.
✅ 10. How long does it last?

If retouching has been completed,
even after more than a year,
about 60% remains.
Among body fillers,
that is excellent longevity.
Because the shoulders are a relatively low-movement area,
the maintenance period is much longer than with facial filler.
Shoulder filler is an effective method
that can change the entire shoulder line
with a 10 to 20 minute procedure.
When combined with trapezius Botox,
the neck and shoulder line can look much more natural
and create a more feminine silhouette.
The fact that about 60% remains after more than a year
is also one of the reasons people choose shoulder filler.
